johnny bravo Hi Daz, regarding the side lateralls that you do at the begining of the workout (Charles Glass style). I tried them today and found them really awkward to get the right feel in the shoulders, do you have any tips for getting the movement right, looks kinda straight forward but just didnt feel right at all. I usually do my side laterals seated with feet elevated on the bench so as to eliminate any sort of swinging up of the d/bell that so many seem to do. So its not that im used to cheating the d/bells up. thanks J.B. johnny bravo Olympian Member Total Posts : 516 Reward points : 2845 Joined: 10/05/2005 Status: offline Reply to Hi mate wot i would say is it feels funny cus now you are actually hitting the side most people try my movement and say that if you look how most people do the side lats they do move off a front delt movement. 1 tip i would give you is get your elbows up high and keep db at your sides all the best pal.

Daari great Vid! 2 questions regarding the exercises in the vid; 2:31 in you do an exercise which resembles treating a 10-15kg plate as a steering wheel...First time i've seen this exercise. Can you elaborate on this please? 5:07 in you do a type of upright row on the squat rack, but from behind. What advantages do you feel this has over a traditional upright row? Much appreciated The steering wheel movement hits the front delt and really deepens the seperations between front and side you have to try it to feel how good it is a great isolation movement. The row movement is the best way to hit traps its a row shrug in one its a old school movement. Your traps run down your back and you feel it all the way down have a go.

Hi Daz,i done something similar to your shoulder workout vid that was posted up. I performed every exercise you done in the vid totalling to 14 sets but with very little rest in between sets. I was just wondering firstly do you do these type of workouts more often or do you, 1 week go heavy with lower volume then 1 week go light with higher volume etc? Secondly i was wondering do you implement this sort of training to other body parts including smaller muscle groups like biceps? Thanks in advance and enjoying seeing your progress. :-)
If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Few questions if I may: 1 - What is the macronutrient breakdown of the diet? 2 - Eating grapefruit, is that for the Naringin content or? Question for Daz: What is it that you do, that you feel helps you get that shredded-granite-hard look? And do you feel coming in so dry and cut is at the expense of fullness? Thanks

Hi MikeS - welcome to MT 1) Don't know - I don't work these things out as I see no need (debated many times before!) 2) In part, and part because of other nutrients and because it's nice! That's a great question for Daz.... Daz and I reviewed things yesterday and I'll be updating the static journal very soon

That's a great question for Daz.... Daz and I reviewed things yesterday and I'll be updating the static journal very soon Thanks for the welcome. If it works it works I always say! Lets hope Daz has some time to answer this question. I certainly would be interested to know if he thinks it is because of what he does (whether nutritionally/supplements/cardio strategies/other), or if he thinks it is predominantly genetic. James: Does Daz have a hydration strategy? Being so big I should imagine he gets dehydrated quite rapidly. Do you follow the ACSM recommendations or does he simply drink if he feels he needs to? Daz is one of the top guys in the country so this journal should be very interesting.

I'm not sure that you mean by ACSM recommendations? Yes he does have a dehydration strategy - involving sodium loading and depleting.

By ACSM I meant American College of Sports Medicine. They're position stand on fluid replacement recommends a certain amount of fluid, along with sodium for water retention. I'm guessing the sodium loading & depleting is more for competition? Out of competition does he drink a certain amount of water a day or? Not important really just wondering :)
