Deadlifts build traps? - 01 November 2009 10:59 ( #1 )
I've seen this posted a few times but I don't understand how, I don't feel like I work my traps at all doing DL's

On a Monday I do

Deadlifts 5x5
Barbell Curls 5x5
Bent over barbell row's 5x5

Would adding shrugs as well be too much?

I find stiff leg deadlifts work my traps more do you do them on leg day?

the only 'direct' work my traps get is through deadlifts, either rack or stiff legged, never do shrugs or any other movements on them and really feel it next day-ish
Those in the know shape em like a bow!

I guess it means that you haven't been doing them long enough yet to have enough weight on the bar to start really affecting your traps, but soon you will feel it.
