Decent Exercise Bikes? 29 January 2012 20:19 (permalink)
Ladies and Gents.

The Missus is looking for an exercise bike to have in the house.  I'm not too fussed about space/portability etc, but was wondering if anyone can point me towards a decent bike.  We have Tesco vouchers somewhere so anything on there may be a good option (I never trust the "independant" reviews on there.

I'm talking cheap £150max so understand that I won't get a fantastic bike.  However, something that doesn't creak and groan or use crappy belt resistance would be great.  It would also be top notch if it didn't fall to pieces after a single session!

Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

£150? I'd expect that to creak, groan and fall apart in the first tbh!

I got a Nautilus NB3000 from TescoDirect a few years ago. I actually paid £600 for a lesser model but I spent 3 weeks chasing it up and it turned out they didn't have it on stock so they sent me the next model up NB3000 which was over £900 then. It's £1129 now!!http://www.dolphinfitness.co.uk/en/nautilus-nb-3000/14769
Fantastic bike though! Programs, calorie counter, comfortable, sturdy and never had a problem.

Thanks mate but Jesus wept!  £1200 for an item that will end up as a clothes horse inside a month imo! :)  Don't give her ideas!
