Rusev: I'm not sure on their guests policy, you'd have to get used to hex plates tho, mate Jedi: I have recently played with my grip a tad and brought it in marginally. Just to try something different. So far I can't say it's helped much but I do find I feel my chest working harder in the lifts (which is no bad thing for me) and I was, at the time, hoping for some PP carry over. No13: No major changes, there might be a few extra oat cakes a day and maybe a little more gung-ho with my protien but nothing major. Not so sure on goals, the doses I am on I will lose a fair bit when off due to water bloat. I anticipate hitting 17st while on, I want to bench over 150, FS 150+, break 230 on DL and PP 105+ while on... and all for doubles not one off singles, but we'll have to see. Alas I do tend to struggle when coming off, mainly because I tend to react so quickly when on I think so I never predict post cycle target

Yeah but with my course I have no excuses. I won't be cleaning it mind The big difference for me will be: the improved recovery from tonights bball session (not that I will do it tomorrow and the simple fact that I will have greater confidence in doing the lift seeing as I am 'on' rather than bottling it when I get close LOL I'll warm up to 90 tomorrow and depending how that goes I'll do 97.5 or 100 for an attempted 2. 95x3 last week wasn't easy but I didn't carry the drive thru to the press very well

Had a long tough Bball session last night but was reasonably happy that I should try the elusive 100 today DELTS BB Push Press: 5x40, 60, 3x70, 2x80, 1x90 F+Fx100, 1+Fx100 w/2mins or so rest..... 'ave it you fcuker! After 2 fails the -ve feedback was strong but the 2nd was close enough for me to think it was in me. I was then gutted not to nail 2 LOL Strict OHP: 70x 8, 8, 6 w/90 or so secs rest..... few reps up on the week, so all good. Side Lat Raise: 10s for 7 sets of 11 reps w/10 secs rest..... still tough but a better showing that last wek TRIS Floor Press: 3x100, 115 for 5, 5, 5 then 10x100 w/90 secs rest..... much better this week, main sets were up and the blast set was up 10 and still got 10 I think Dips: BW + 50kg for 8, 8, 8 w/90 secs rest.... yet again upped the weight. Very solid 8s but hard work. Next increase will require discs tho. Kneeling Rope Pushdowns: 65 for 5x12 then dropped down the stack to carry on w/10 secs rest..... much better on these this week and I'm on the full stack already so I may need to improvise soon usual roller and stretch to close. No time for cardio today - shame huh LOL Well, well, well.... it wasn't pretty but I have finally nailed my nemesis so all in all a good day, officially a PB. Triceps were strong today too. Oddly the neck started to twinge a bit but once the warm-ups were done it wasn't a factor

Wayhey, nice going matey. Strict press is good as well considering all the pressing before it. Two half reps = 1 full rep right?

No13: yes, you are right, so I did 2.5 reps in total. I am a beast LOL MrM: No idea why I don't carry the same drive over. I think I let the weight get in my head too much and get jelly legs before I start . Yeah, been using a DB up to now. Iain: you better believe it, it was time to get serious LOL. The guy offered to spot when I retried but I just told him if it's meant to go up it will. But for a PP I have no idea what his plan was - but a nice gesture

i know what u mean mate. it still does it with me, i think about the weight too much and think 'wat if i drop it on my head' kind of thing.. have found tho that a kind of 'gun-ho' attitude really helps and the weight just flkies up!!

I need to just get under and lift. You'll notice the 1st try I did a bit off swearing and growling at the bar first and failed, the 2nd try I just walked up, stepped back and got one. It'll be interesting to see how I do when I am off work in a few weeks cos I also feel that the nights before Bball leaves me in less than optimal condition for lifting over head.... 16st running and jumping for an hour leaves me a little taxed the following day

Cheers, mate. It's funny that as chuffed as I was to nail it I was still pissed that I didn't get the double LOL. I owe you a beer, tho, I'd still be cursing being miles off if it wasn't for you giving me a cyber slap upside my head to change things up a bit.

Awesome, how long ago was that, mate (then I can work out how old I'll be when I can think about 130+ LOL). I certainly don't drop anything like as deep in the knees as that which I think shows when my drives slows so soon after my push, there's just nothing behind it.

Was about 3 years ago iirc but I had over a year away from pressing in that tie due to a shoulder problem. I expect you to be hitting 120 in the next couple of months.

I'll get some bumper plates There's certainly more to come just from technique and conviction in the lift, I need to address them and quickly

dirtyvest I'll get some bumper plates There's certainly more to come just from technique and conviction in the lift, I need to address them and quickly I put 5kg on my PB once purely just from tucking my elbows in and up. Small technical changes will add KGs. Are there no wise old overhead beasts near where you train?
