Does SSCV lead to muscle fiber conversion?

I've read so many conflicting articles about it now, so I am opening it up to here! I'd have thought because SSCV such as walking is a low HR movement you'd be in the black here? Where as if you were going for long runs in the morning at a higher HR then you'd be in the red? Thoughts? edit: basically as a former fatty I want to do SSCV every morning to help minimise fat, but as a naturally skinny bugger I don't want to risk muscle fiber conversion

I shouldn't think so. If you are upping the cardio to endurance exercise levels then the eventual outcome will be adaption, which includes fibre types adapting, but for a bit of SSCV in support of a weights programme it should be absolutely fine. The same old same old comes into play again though - - -DIET. If your diet is in line with your aims you'll have a much bigger window of effectiveness for your training.
