Hi guys I know this isnt the best place to put this but i didnt see anywhere else suited. Ok, does anyone know any good articles on EMS products, cheap Ab-belts aside, things like http://www.bodi-tek.co.uk/ems/elite3.html some good studies would be helpful if anyone knows any? or perhaps some of you have experience with them? i had one when i was much younger and definitely remembered them working the muscle hard and causing fatigue, but to what outcome i dont know. i didnt use it routinely to genuinely say thanks guys!

Not used that particular model. However I have used Compex EMS and can vouch for them. Avoid pads that aren't 'sticky'. Compex machines use sticky pads that you will replace after perhaps 15 or 20 sessions. You can bring them back to 'life' for a few extra sessions by applying water and replacing them to their backing sheet. I use a Compex MI sport. Compare the chart then google to find the cheapest supplier http://www.heartratemonitor.co.uk/compare_compex_cefar_ems.html

whoa.. they look good but wow theyre expensive! why did you say to avoid those arent sticky? could you not get the same benefit from one where you wet the pads? still curious as to any genuine studies into their effectiveness?

The ones that you wet do dry very quickly. Then they sting like a good un. They can sting like a tw@t when they're wet too come to think of it!

ok partyboy, ive got the EMS machine now and it seems good, tried it few specific places. however i noticed that it says not to use it on back and chest at same time, which makes sense... anything else you can think of i should keep in mind? also is there anywhere you used it that you found was great benefit, maybe something hard to train normally? ive been using on my vastus medialis to help with patella tracking... cheers again :)
