we are doing tryfan then up somewhere else close by,dont really know never been mountain climbing before and im going with a friend who goes all the time who says its really demanding,just want to keep up with him and not fall behind. i use eph in the gym before workouts to give me energy boost

I dont find it particularly helpful for endurance. As already said, dehydration is an issue. Also cramping etc. I dont think you should be climbing mountains with eph as a crutch tbh.

well I've used it in a couple of sporting events. I'm extremely fit, and probably shouldnt even have bothered. But I found I lost my stamina quicker than usual. It's different as a booster for short bursts of energy though. But everyone may react differently.

dont bother with Eph, its not like Tryfan is that demanding. if you can't last the day without you shouldnt be there

you are kidding ar'nt you, altitude on Tryfan, its in north wales for f$$$ sake not the alps. Its only a walk\scramble and eph will do the same to you as it would if you where to go on a treadmill on steep inclination for a few hours, So WHY bother. just have a good breakfast and enjoy the scenary, tust me its beutifull. leave the eph for the gym

I personally wouldn't bother, as it can speed up your heart rate, and I've heard heavy cardio on eph is not good. OT, which face of Tryffan are you climbing? Are you doing multi pitch or just scrambling up?
