Female var usuage

Hi folks,
 Was speaking with a figure competitor at the weekend and she told me she's been taking var at 20mg for the past 3 months. Is this the norm?
I know guys run it at 80-100mg for 8+ weeks but thought ladies ran it at 10mg for 6-8wk cycles. She was told to run it at 20mg for as long as she liked by her source so I said I'll check it out for her with some ladies in the know.

ive used it for longer when comp prepping i think ive done 16 weeks at 20mg , but the longer i was on i started noticing things like my hair (on head)  getting a bit fuzzy, bodyhair growing super-fast, so even on a mild steroid and moderate dose  i started getting mild but unwelcome side effects.....thats what would make me limit the cycle length -but i would imagine that women without hairy genes wouldnt have that problem. 20mg is a normal dose I dont think its a great idea to stay on 'as long as you like' though

Can I ask did you jump straight in at 20mg 1st or did you try 10mg ED for your 1st cycle?

this is going back a long time but IIRC it was 10mg for a couple weeks until i was sure i wasnt going to turn into a man overnight (LOL) and then upped it pretty quick

20mg is definitely on the high side... If she started on that dose with no previous experience, well, then it's just crazy. And yes, 3 months is indeed a long time to be on. 

Every time I have gone over 10mg I have dopped it pretty quickly, just too high for me. It really is very individual.
