It was the little bit you spared me last week that's got me back on course :-)xx

Day 1 = perfect!
3xcardio - check
Diet spot on - check
Best go & put my green pen to work eh!?
Back is ridiculously tight, as are quads, walks were painful, but were done, hopefully better for the movement today & now a good nights rest.
:-)xx

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 07 February 2012 14:06
Ahh bless you GN
My intensity is seriously pants with extra weight at mo tho, so it's more just getting my body moving each time, so no chance of over exertion, and the back; damned if I do, damned if I don't but def less pain generally with getting moving again.

Not a great start to day, totally slept in
Had oats with PP for breakii and boiling kettle quicker than scrambling egg whites
Just been out in lunch break to make up missed walk this am
Didn't break any records during the 30mins, but pretty sure burned more cals than sat at desk! Back was agony whilst out, the muscles just refuse to warm up in this freezing cold. When I walk from home I have my heat pad on which helps a LOT but no microwave here at work. Anyhoo, it's done now and no pain now I'm sat back in a warm office
Gonna move WOs along a day-ish and do another walk tonight, Mark's home a night early and we're desperate to get some hot-tub time in not been in for a few weeks with draining it down+re-filling and then we've both had colds, be bliss with it being so chilly out
So I'll then do Back tom, Chest+Bis Thurs and shoulders+Tris Fri, I'll then do a walk sat am ahead of going to Monster on Sat.
xx

Just getting out and walking at the moment is good. Once you get used to walking at a slower level you'll be able to up the intensity plus if you were aching that will no doubt have slowed you down. Give it 3 weeks and there'll be no stopping you xx

Yes kitty I know, just seems abit unreal that I used to powerwalk 2hrs a day with a 9kg weighted vest on cos the intensity wasn't high enough!
YaY! U will pocket rocket!

LOT better tonight with heat pad on, fastest time yet, quads were easier too, but no means good but better.
Diet spot on.

Mmm, I know, just depressing to see history repeating itself!

Got a bit drunk last night, was quite amusing, fab long soak in tub.
Stuck to diet apart from the vino tho.
SoOo tired this am, got up 8.15! So will be out for lunchtime walkies in a bit.
Feeling good that I'm getting the sessions in, even if it's just slow walking, it's more than I have been doing, and my mind set is to make them up not just oops missed that one.
The photos were a great incentive tho, gonna print them out for above my schedule so I'm reminded each am just how bad the situation is and how far I have to go. Will put good after ones up too though, to also remind self that there is hope it is totally doable so as not to totally depress myself!
Eating abit scewed today, had a real bout of yukkiness this am, no not from booze, wasn't that drunk! but that & late start meant no breakii and I haven't fancied my tuna as yet, so just had a shake with a banana so far.
xx

eating didn't really get any better
Did walkies at lunchtime an extra 0.5m than usual route back better again, but not good. Then had tuna meal. No walkies tonight had to drop mark at station for a curry in town with the boys and mother in law had phoned for a chat  which required last glass in bottle. Not really hungry still so just toast for T
And now it's flippin snowing!
Will really try to get up for walkies in the am, cos won't be a prob on fresh snow if it's not too deep and will be soOo pretty out!
Still fluffy flakes falling at mo tho.

Not a bad day today actually.
Course I didn't get up this am! ;-)
But did 3Mile at lunch, farthest I've done & in a quick time! Had taken a cple of painkillers for a slight headache cple hrs earlier so on my walk... No back pain LoL :-)
Then did another 1.85m-ish with mark after work
Meals =
3x tinned salmon+rice+green beans (edit: yes for breakii too! Got up quite late)
Dinner... More salmon+veg+rice, LoL, nicer tho not tinned
Just attempted a protein pancake, not bad 1st attempt but needed sweetener, I thought PP would b sweet enough, plus needed seasoning I reckon. Got some of MyProteins flavour drops in toffee+vanilla, reckon these could b good for this. Carly makes these to take out with her, great idea for a sat if mark & I are out having a coffee or at cinema? Or for with an arvo cuppa.
(100ml soya milk+1whole egg+1 scoop PP)

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 11 February 2012 21:01
Today was a VERY good day!
Started with 2lb loss! (& a bacon & egg sarnie!)
Then headed over to Monster Gym in Chesunt for the first BNBF meeting of the year. It was AWESOME! 58 people!??! Saw lots of familiar faces, and some new ones, I got to meet karryann!
Was a great boost chatting with everyone and now my weight loss has amounted to 10lbs good incentive to keep going. 2lb behind target but confident I'll make this up if I tighten things up now. Diet was spot on for next 2 meals took my tupperware with me and had 2L water. Dinner was mackerel with rice n veg. Just enjoying a ginger beer with a few crisps whilst Marks on the dex: radioactivefm.co.uk
With the USN comp you have to have used one product for the duration so I've invested in some creatine: http://www.usn.co.uk/product/Creatine-Nitric-Oxide-NOS/Creatine-X4-120s/52 not used any for years, so figured whilst calories are still high at the outset it might help add some muscle before the diet gets tighter and cardio increases. Has LOTS health befits I didn't know about too (damn was gonna pinch Carly's txt about it but can't find it).
Think I feel about ready to hit the gym again this week. Will have to only do one session of walkies I think tho, my toe's aching. But that's no bad thing as the stairmaster was a major part of my transformation last time, so I need to make moves back on to it!
xx

In my protein pancake I have 2 tsp oatbran; 1/2 scoop whey; 2 egg whites; tsp sweetner; 5 drops myprotein flav drops - totally yummy!
Was lovely to see you today, you looked motivated!

Good day today 3xpowerwalks, this am, lunch & pm, no lunchtime PT as big meeting in office so wud've been abit thin on the ground.
Fed up of my feet aching with walking, can't find a pair of trainers just spot on and I'm just too heavy at mo  so sod it I've ordered a pair of fit flop boots: http://www.boots.com/en/FitFlop-Hyka-Boot-Bootcamp-Green_1234755/ I wore their flipflops all year nearly and they are just the comfiest shoes in the world EVA! So really excited for them arriving tom just hope they live up to expectations!
Diet spot on today and my Creatine arrived so excited to hit the gym tom now!

Thanx ladeeze

Didn't make gym as I was due a meal, so went for walkies instead, more of that in a moment!
Wherever poss I attempt to open supplement tablet capsules and put the powder in a drink, so I'm ingestion less filler type products, most stuff is tasteless and so not a problem... Not the USN Creatine I got! Bleurghhh!!!  Really I can stomach most things; ALCAR mixed with abit of juice, no prob, but jesus that was FOUL! You see I had put it in my pre WO shake  so I was missing a meal  So off for walkies I went (did lunchtime too - good cat? )
So walkies, and the new boots:
OMG!!!
They're horrible!
The heel's weird so my foot placement's wrong, the technology in the sole is there and loverley as usual, but the actual boot itself is too tight... sleepy feet, NOT good, and foot movement inside heel has given me a blister GGGgggRRRrrr!!! Sending em back.
So next ... sandles and sox!  The fitflop sandles are hippi karrimore trecki style and are uber comfy just abit cold at the mo, well it's warmed up abit and the boots weren't winning me any fashion awards, so sox & sandles it is in the am, see how that does before I try anything else new!
Lets finish on a happier note; Mark was uber romantic with a delivery to work:

Will they allow you to return them if you've worn them outside? If they're leather they will give and may feel tight compared to your old pair.

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 16 February 2012 07:52
At the moment cos it was a short dry walk on pavement, you cant tell really, so I don't feel my karma's compramised!
But that thought had crossed my mind that they are leather and will they, how much will they give, I think I might be being abit hasty?
Realstically the sandles are not a long term solution, they're great for pavements and promenades but go off track even slightly and bits of dirt/grit get in and are a pin in the derierre. And I aint wearing socks with em long term once it's light enough that I might get recognised!
I'll try the boots again tonight, mayb a heel support thingy in right boot might curb movement there?
And I can't remember what socks I wore, so mayb thinner socks too?

Yes, I have some of those huni, they are a good sock but don't seem to help the footwear any.
Decided not to try the boots again for fear they're not right and a second wearing prohibiting return. Ordered some karrimor from SD:

They're the best of what I've tried so far and at £14!!! I'm well chuffed!  Have ordered some off the peg orthotics too, to give a little extra support for my arches.
No weight loss this week, but no gain either, not that there should have been either. Great w/e in Manchester for nephews 1st bday. Was loverley to see the kidz, not so loverley seeing my form on video!  But it has given me extra motivation to do something about it Tho did get myself quite upset on the Sunday am about my weight and the footage, and just how ****ing riduculous it is I let it get back to this  but I have lost 10.5lb since new year, so just gotta focus on that & keep plugging away eh  Marks slowly getting more motivated too.
Had day off today so I could relax with Mark last night after drive back rather than stressing bout preppin, we had a nice soak in the hot-tub  and I've spring cleaned today and prepped etc. so feel nice and ready to smash the restov the week  Week 3's motivational dress:

This one is gorgeous, can't wait to wear it, looks soOo much more expensive thatn it was (£18 from Tesco!!!)
Off to bed with a cuppa now, must get my arse outov bed for am walkies...

Oh Fi I trained once at Locker27 (it's on my blog somewhere) and it was AWESOME, great conditioning session - I'd highly recommend the facility and the trainers. x

Hi Nic! Ooo, great reccomendation, thank you!
Thoughts...
UKBFF
Body Fitness or Bikini?
Stars of Tomorrow – 11th Nov
NABBA
Toned Vs Trained Figure?
UK Comp - 11th Nov
Both shows after my end goal date, but with no off season, no extra muscle, so thinking better to aim for a softer look IF I was to get on stage, concentrate on just losing the weight this year, then have an off season and see where I end up next? Just thoughts...

Trained Figure does require a SERIOUS diet, you'd aim for the same look as a natural physique girl and then some.
Toned is attainable but look at GN and you know where you need to be.
Bodyfitness - see above for Trained Figure, knock a little condition off and you've got the right idea.
Bikini - I can't say what I really want to here

Summary: IF you wanted to compete, Toned is probably your best bet, BUT if it were me, I'd crack on all the way through til next year and compete then  HOWEVER, I do understand you may want something really concrete to work towards. You ever thought about those Miss Galaxy Fitness malarkeys Sinead's into? They have comps...

Honestly I think you need to lean down and then have a proper decent off season, whilst trying not to add too much fat then diet back down for next year.... exactly as per what Flick has said I have just noticed LOL

If you really feel like you need to get back on stage this year then as per Flick I would be aiming for toned figure.

Galaxy... hmm... I like the fitness tests aspect but I'm actually steering away from it at the moment as there's also quite a lot of focus on evening wear etc which sooooo isn't me... don't get me wrong I love the bling but my roots are in bodybuilding

Why don't you keep working until Summer and then you can decide from there ? xx

Toned isn't as easy as you think, I'm pretty lean and I'm suffering with the dieting. I think you are the same height as I - well at just above 9st ish I still need another 7 to 10 pounds off me. It's a very small class indeed, you can't just enter it because you can't get the bodyfat off,  you need to be smaller allround.

Last year I wondered if I could lose 3 stone and compete in Autumn, it really was going to be too much. So I dieted the major part off, then once revealed was able to put some work in to bring up my weak spots.

Tell you what, if you do fancy the UK it's a show I've always wanted to do and I'd give it a bash if I don't go too far out after April/May competitions. One reason I'm not with UKBFF is that I would like the option to do the odd open or NAC show.
