Phew!
I'm releived to hear you say that, I'm just extra prone to having moments of mad thoughts at mo! I know I need to keep my cals as high as poss whilst I'm still losing, I do know this.
I hate to ask what the 'slighty tasty' foods are that you're refering to!
I'm off the couscous now onto the rice and chicken, gonna swap my 6pm meal for a shake and oat cakes  on train. I got some green T extract so I can put that in it along with my espresso, if I then have gym bag in boot of car I can gain 20mins too by going straight there. I tell myself I'll not 'fanny' and just come in get changed, espresso and go, but I don't!

21 weeks to centrals!
1.5lb p/wk = 31.5lb = 2.25stone
No-idea what I'll look like with that off, or if I'll be ready to get on stage looking like that, but hey lets find out eh!?

Welshy I do hear ya, and next year for sure!
But this year I've so much weight to lose that if I can't do it myself, no-one can make me. It should be VERY easy for me to lose the weight, I know what to do, we all know I do, no-one writing me a meal plan is gonna make me stick to it.

xx

Outline your diet and I'm sure I can find something yummy still in it!

I reckon you can lose 2lbs a week for sometime yet, but aim for 1.5 and if you lose more great...
I think you're right no-one can make you stick to it but you so just keep it simple and STOP analysing!

YOU'RE GOING TO DO FINE!!

Ahh, I can't beleive this half hearted attempt is inspiring anyone, so thank you huni, that'll help keep me going, intrude away!

Prob only gonna get to post weekly/ w/e's now. There have been complaints about my chicken smells at my desk, so I have to go eat in the kitchen and I can't figure out how to post from iphone.

Did am cardio and chest n tris and cardio last night.
Missed cardio this am, but thouhjt I should ease myself back in after being soOo bad last week.
Gonna attepmt hams n glutes and cardio tonight.
Swapped 6pm chkn n rice meal on train for a shake + oat cakes, nice change. Had got some green T extract from MyProtein and thought more for immune system than fat butning, but ye bugger by the time I'd walked 7mins back to car I was lathered! Kulio!
Feeling better all the time and quite focussed too.
Gonna double cardio sessions at w/e poss doubles, just 20mins, I shouldn't need a day off, s'omly 20mins.
Kitty, u used to do 2 hours a day 7 days a week  in your prep didn't you?
Not pleased that scales show 4lb on yesterday am, hoping 2 of those are just fluid with eating higher carbs but have removed carbs from pm meals this week to see if I can jolt body into action (just having an M&S edame salad pot with 100g chkn).

I have been known to go up to 2x1 hours CV for my prep. Didn't quite get up to that much last year but one thing I did different leading to the finals was my final CV session later in the evening approx an hour before going to bed....THAT was horrible!!

Phew... lost 4lb this week!
I reckon it was 2lb loss and 2lb wtaer weight with dropping carbs.
So I'm back to where I was before Harrogate and cold, so need to keep things tight now, but glad it came off nice and quick/ easy in one tight week.
I knew the carb free dinners would do the trick, gonna stick with that again this week.
Strengths returning more each WO.
Feeling good.
xx
EDIT: PS saw Osteo this am and shoulder/neck it a lot better but very 'snarled' gonna make effort to see physio, who stood me up on wed!? to get posture checked, have a lot of tips from osteo to help manage it though.

Great news on the weight loss,  been having nice results on the lower carbs myself.
Keep going, you're going to look fantastic.

Not at all! S'lovely to have people post
Yes, I noticed you had been doing well too. I normally feel quite hard done to, but the edame bean salad pots from M&S are only 130kals and the little bit dressing is divine, so I don't mind that every night!
Don't know about fantastic, there's an awefully long way to go, but gotta look better than I do now!
Mmm, that's a very middle of the road response eh!??! I guess that's just where I am at mo, but... plod.. plod..

Its all good

Have you noticed any difference with the low carbs regards training.  I mean things like feeling
shattered, using less weight etc?

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 07 March 2010 12:43
No, no difference for me but I do have plenty carbs throught the day including a couple oat cakes an hour b4 training, s'only my evening meal after traning at 9.30pm that's (complex) carb free.

You've been doing carb free after your breaki?
Are you making up the calories with extra fats?
ExtraVirginOliveOil or 'Good'Oil is an excellent mix of your omega's or Udo's?
It does take the body a couple of weeks to adjust it's metabolic/ energy burning pathways when you do this, I think? So you're energy strength should return.

Work early in the morning so first 3 or 4 meals have carbs.
Still have dextrose in my pwo shake though.

Supplementing with flaxseed oil at the moment, usually put it on my veggies in the evening.

Cheers for the help, nice to get extra advice on these things.

Gonna ask doc about poss of accupuncture on nhs, no time for physio on nhs, as in I'm too busy and work in London not that they're all crap!

Bit pissed of tonight, sis has said that due to my M+D's anniversary party same w/e as Northern, no-one will come to see me!
Well **** them!
Ok maybe a lot pissed off!
Really need to do it now, not that I didn't before.

Hey Fi, there'll be enough people at the show to support you so don't let it upset you. I can now make it as sister is getting wed on the Friday so I'll be back up this neck of the woods in good time to sit on the front row with pen and paper .

Well done on the weight loss and if we get the chance at the seminar let's see if Cheryl can offer any help as to what it may be or can be done regarding your shoulder/back/whatever else it may be!

Eeek, weigh in, in the am, woz gonna be sat am, but may miss gym and go out for cheat meal with hubby 2morrow, so not making that mistake again! And I have been feeling slimmer this week, and people in office have commented so fingers crossed, but I always feel soOo unconfident at this stage each week!

Moooooooooooorniiiiiiiiiiiiiing!...firstly, can I apologise for my rambly posts, I do seriously try not to but I just sorta type as it comes out of my head!..durrrrrr..I get into trouble for it all the time and the more I try to get out of it the worse it gets!!  Actually, at work, behind my back the bods here call me "Mrs Bean"..lol..they think I don't know...hahaha...I don't mind. I know I'm like this and I gave up trying not to be ages ago, it seems easier.

Anyway, nuts to that..how are you? weigh in, whoo hooo..what are you trying to get down to? it seem to take me sooooo foooking long to lose even an ounce I practically call out a national day off work if it happens!..lol good luck with that missis! Someone did say to me that if you're not losing weight but losing inches that is better? ya know, in BB terms....I'm not sure about it but it sounded good so I'm passing on my HUGE amount of wisdom nicked from that person in an effort to both sound "intelligent" and " moral supporty type person"...for you ?...ahem..did that work perchance?  or do need some serious help in that direction...hahahahahaha...

Have a lovely meal and a great weekend and sorry for lengthy post...they never seem long until I post them and then I do make myself gulp at the mahoooosive thing I've done..I'm surprised i haven't been barred!..shhhhh....

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 12 March 2010 22:39
Another 1lb off.
Bit dissapointed as I felt like I'dlost another 4lb, but I knew the scales wouldn't show that again this week!

MMMmm, I need to lose 2.5st!!!!
Yes generally losing inches is better than weight, but as I have bulked last year and am now trying to lose the fat, I should be able to lose both.

(rather than a newbie who may see relatively more inch loss than weight loss as muscle is denser than fat - rather than heavier - so it takes up less space on the body, so you lose inches but not relativly perhaps as much weight as the muscle weighs the same but in less space, if you get what I mean?!)

No cheat meal tonight, hubby's still not in from work! He's off next week so...
But meant I got to catch up with extra time in gym and did both quads n shoulders AND back n bis plus 30mins bike, abs and stretching!!!
REALLY enjoyed it, just did two sets of everything rather than 3 but 5 sets of squats working up to the 50kg in the trumpet blowing thread!
I actually felt like a BB in the gym tonight, having lost the wieght I have I think I look bulked up rather than fat and so not so bad.
May weigh again in the am as no cheat meal tonight, just to see!
Off for a shower now
xx

Weighed again this am officially 1.5lb for the week (mis-posted 2lb on FB! )
Pleased with that as missed a couple of cardio WO's.
So feeling fairly confident i can go for 2lb this week if all WO's are spot on.
Feeling good.

Just read about your family and am pi$$ed off for you, they should have wanted to be there, whatever else is going on that weekend! It's just fu**ing lame... GRRRRR. Remeber how you said you have to go to their wedding anniversary? Well to me, this is every bit important, because it's your first show. They should be excited for you. And what's more, they'll be gutted they missed it when they see photies of you :-)

This IS a big deal, and we're all right behind you angel, and you're right, you have to do this now.

With all the effort you are putting in, if I was in your family - I would be there.  I think it's amazing what you are doing - your first show WOW! From what i'm reading I think you are going to have so much support though.  See you at the seminar! x

GGGGgggRRRRRrrrrr............
.............NO weight change this week
Not sure why, promise everything's been spot on
BUT...
...I'm lurching between constipation and the ****s (can't spell diahrheheah!?). I'm constipated cos of all the rice and need to stop the whey I've started again that's giving me the runs, plus a little too much milk has snuck in with 3 coffees a day at work rather than my herbal T's. But exactly the same last week resulted in 1.5lb loss?!!?
I had tried some soft fuit with 6pm meal: 1 prune, 1 fig, 1 apricot to help, but no effect in the 3 days I've done that? I think I may need some fibregel and more green veg.
Was thinking of tightening diet a little after this week/ Easter, replacing soup for lunch with a large green salad, get some more raw green veggies in, actually I used to have raw stirfry in my salad, that would help eh?!
Anyhoo meeting all the girlies this w/e so I'm sure I'll figure it out then.
Little lie in today as in no rush to set off. Off to gym for back n bis in a mo then sort food and then on the road.
