Easy! I had been remiss in my last week(s) of my last job and since commuting to London for new job (which I'm LOVING!) I am struggling to find journal and FB time. Just managing to get to gym 6am for 20mins cardio each day and 2/3 nights fo weights. Diet like a saint mon-fri not so hot at w/e's but have asked for Mark's help to reign this in. xx

HelloOooooo!! I'm still here. The commuting and job are FABBY! Been making gym 6am for 20mins on staitmaster and two nights to do weights. But had sniffles last week, so didn't do pm's but still did am's, sure it helped my lymphatic system push bugs out quicker. Diet has been ok mon-fri and a bit bonk on w/e's. So I'm thinking of going lower carb's thru week so I can call w/e's a re-feed!!??!! But just playing at mo whilst concentrating on job and keeping life going. 99.9% decided that we're NOT moving! Having found a cash buyer last week!! The move further away, even if it is only 10mins, from station and gym is not enthusing us, nor the loss of £15k-ish on stamp duty, solicitors and movers fees! Mayaswell spend that putting a conservatory on our place, which is what we're gonna do. But all is good. xx

So, you will have noticed that I changed the title of my journal. After I read in Chrissies how to do it, I though what the heck! I’m not sure when I finally manage to diet down which I’ll be, BUT it will NOT be 2010. I have too far to go to think about being in a position to prep next year. As flick in particular keeps telling me I need consistency, so that’s the plan for next year; consistency and lose 3 stone to be in a position to prep in 2011. As you all know, I’m particularly crap and inconsistent with my dieting efforts. I LOVE the training but dieting not so much! So I decided I need help and to get back to basics. I feel embarrassed to be even loitering round this arena given my efforts to date. So you can all scream at me but.... I’ve gone back to Slimming World. It’s the only way over the past 5 years that I’ve consistently lost weight. Whether it’s the structure or the weekly weigh in or hearing a group of middle aged women moan helping me feel righteous about my training efforts (!??!), but I lost a stone a half in 3 months before my sisters wedding. The programme I can tweak towards BB, and a sample day mon-fri will be: Breakfast 7am: 28g oats as porridge with water with 20g shake made with water Snack 10am: 150g low fat cottage cheese with peice of fruit Lunch 12pm: tuna (100g) salad (corgette, cucumber, celery, tomato + fatfree dressing). Snack 3pm: 150g low fat cottage cheese with piece of fruit Snack 6pm: 20g shake with piece of fruit Dinner 9pm: lean meat/ fish (150g) with salad/veggies + sugarfree jelly +herbal T I can then have more carbs on a w/e, I won’t go mad, I’ll stick within SW, but I just need to learn some control again, any control and Mark will more help me with SW than he will anything else. I’m making gym each am for 20mins stairmaster and plan to do chest n tris Tues 7pm, back n bis Thurs 7pm and legs on a Sun after having Sat off from the stairmaster. xx

Whilst you need consistency, you might also need a touch of what cookiedough did, which was to end the 'putting it off' syndrome :-D She finally got up there and from what I heard last, she's flying on her way to doing Stars of Tomorrow now. Sometimes putting a date on it makes things easier, and stops you from coasting along angel ;-) And at risk of throwing a spanner in - how come you've gone back to a virtual zero carb diet angel? You won't find much energy to train by living on 28g oats as your complex carb per day. I'm not being mean but I AM worried about you. Why don't you come down, train with me and C and we'll have a look at your diet? Lots of love xxx

You know what Fi, my diet always let me down as well. I've got James doing it now and I can honestly say I stick to it. In the last 2/3 months I've only had about 2 or 3 little treats I shouldn't have had. I have one cheat meal a week and the rest is as per the diet sheet. It feels great someone else having control so I just do what I am told and I'm not sitting there trying to think of what is ok to eat. I also have in the back of my head that I'm paying for this so I don't want to waste the money I know people react to different things but may be a thought ? x

Awe...Thnx for the concern girles. Flick -I will defo take you up on that offer in the new year, life's a bit hectic till then. Mmm hadn't thought too much about the lack of complex carbs thought the fruit and pre-training banana at 6pm would be ok. But, chastise when I stick to it and find I have no energy, we both know I'm good at grand plans and spreadsheets, it's the putting it into reality where I fall down. But defo in the new year as I say I'll come over and let you take me in hand ;-) xx Welshy - Yes it is an idea, and I had Karen M do that a couple of years ago, but still didn't stick to it, so maye I'm just not destined to be on this path after all? 'veryone'thinks I've got great will power but I feel like such a fake at the mo. xx

When Karen did yours, did you make excuses not to go and see her? If you did, then that's where you fell down. And you're not the only one to do that if you did ;-) For the record, nope, I don't think you've got great willpower, but I think you CAN have, which is really important. The only person who doesn't think you can do this right now is you... ;-)

OK. Journal title revised again after a talking to/ coaching/ pep talk from kitty and flick. You're both soOo right, I have to aim for the goal of next year, if I don't make it then I/ we can revise plans, but no harm in aiming for that. What's the worst that could happen? (and no not some aweful situation as per the ads ) The worst that could happen is that I lose a significant amount of weight, even if it's not enough to be in condition to step on stage, that wouldn't be so bad! The only possible way to tweak SW is to do red (protein dominant) days, and continue with the 6 meals. Low fat cottage cheese and fruit are 'free' , so that's why they're my protein/ carb choices for 2 meals. I'll 'syn' my shakes (treat points that synergystically balance the diet, and your sanity), pretty sure they were only about 2 last time I calculated and you get 10-15 p/day. I may have a 'green' (veggie/high carb plan) day of a w/e to increase the carbs for re-feed sat so I have plenty energy for a heavy leg WO on a sun. But only BBing amounts, I'm not gonna go mad. Given the time frame I/we are looking at I don't think I need a cheat meal as such, just a healthy low fat recipe from my SW or WW book, a slightly larger portion than I would allow myself thru the week. Just had a GREAT leg sesh, 'ayers' already, so god help me in the am! But on the stairmaster I will be! xx

Actually I'm familiar with SW, can't you have potatoes non-stop? Aren't they a free food?
