Final week before show : now with show day pics 15 April 2011 19:59 (permalink)
Just wondering what everyones protocols are for the last week before a show.
I currently having 4 litres water and between 30-90g carbs ED.
I had planned on the following
7 days out: 10l water, 40g carbs
6:10l water, 40g carbs
5: 10l water, 20g carbs
4: 10l water, 20g carbs
3 10l water 20g carbs
2 6l water ,400g carbs
1 3l water, 600-1000g carbs
 
show day: sip water and continue carbing up if needed.
 
I'm 2wks out and am currently in the same if not better condition of my avi but 8lbs heavier.Very vascular.
Not sure if I should risk water and carb manipulation.
What do you guys think?

    If you think your condition is good then why make such drastic changes that could really make you worse? If you're happy with how you look now then go with that.

      Thats what I was thinking Kitty. I might just continue as I am and do a carb up the day before the show as I'm still a bit flat.

          I dont agree in shocking the body, if your ready..your ready, just hold it and cruise in nicely and carb up 1-2days before, white rice and pineapple chunks mmm...mmmm

                You've never had rice and pineapple, makes the rice nice and wet and easy to get all them carbs down, must be the fact you've had nothing sweet for so long it tastes amazing, but everything tastes nice at the end of a diet :)

                      Have you thought about a Sh1t load mate?  Using crap fast acting carbs to load up instead of the usual rice and such?
                       
                      Also when are you planning on stopping water intake on the last day?  Think mine stopped at 6pm last time

                        Whatever works for you fella, every one has their different methods, and 2days out i doubt all the hard work can be undone by a few Pieces of fruit.
                        Stick to your plan tho fella, everyone will suggest something different....as everyone's an "expert" and likes to add their spin on things.

                            @Rack   am going to have a Burker king meal and hour before I step on stage mate. Wouldn't chance a full crap load.
                            I'll be stopping water about 5 on Fri day. will have 1/2 bottle dry wine Fri night and will sip water Sat when needed.
                             
                            @MRENIGMA    No pics mate sorry. Took last ones 3weeks ago and wasn''t happy with them so none since. well except one or 2 of abs on my phone ..lol

                              if you are looking great then its much safer to just keep things the same!  if you get things wrong it can really mess your look up!
                               
                              theres nothing worse than a week out being dry, shredded and vascular, then waking up on the morning of the show to find your totally smooth and flat.

                                id eat the same as you have been no messing about why risk it ...you can eat all the **** you want a few hours later ,i think what you might gain from a crap is nothing to what u might lose ,,might ve guessed the cheat meal obsessed would suggest eating some crap..lol

                                    I probably fall into the cheat meal obsessed category too so arniemonkey.
                                    I have had a cheat meal every Sun ,11 out of my 14wks dieting.

                                      I wouldn't risk sh1t loading personally as I'd bloat like mad and it would take a few days to get that back down.  My carb up last year didn't even have that many carbs due to how I react and my pre-show meal was steak and eggs while I sat watching everyone else munch down bars of chocolate.
                                       
                                      I just know that a "sh1t load" works well for a lot of people.

                                        Arniemonkey I think you have a valid point on not messing with stuff but to that take a cheap shot at rack is bang out of order just cos offered an idea you don't agree with is bang out of order.

                                        By the same token rack do offer a good option that may work for some, one guy I know who competes usually has a large pizza for his final meal that night before a show and it does him great.
