Finasteride with Test E cycle.

When running Finasteride along with a Test E 500mg 10 week cycle, should it be taken for the 10 week cycle or for the 10 weeks + 2 weeks until PCT starts...(or even during PCT as well)?

If I was to run it, I would run it for the 10 weeks, and probably one of the two weeks leading upto PCT.  During the last week before PCT the testosterone level in the body wouldn't really be that high, IMO

i am running finasteride at the mo, and to be honest you can run all the time if you want but i would run thru pct as well.

Finasteride isnt something i would recommend just to run while on cycle. You can lose hair on it initially. It also needs to be run for a good period of time and i wouldnt use it just for on cycle hair insurance, it doesnt hold much of a promise in keeping your hair for such short periods of usage.

Im pretty sure you need to use it for a good long while before effects can be seen.

And TIO, thanks for the input. And that's really got me thinking now, as I was just about to order my ancillaries etc and Finasteride was something on my list.

From the research I've done here and elswehere I was under the impression that many people ran finasteride for exactly that : 'hair-loss insurance' ( for want of a better phrase) while on cycle.

Anyone else have any input, perhaps from someone who has run Finasteride on cycle either succesfully or unsuccessfully?

PROPECIA may be taken with or without food. |In general, daily use for 3 months or more is necessary before increased hair growth and/or prevention of further hair loss is observed. Continued use is recommended to obtain maximum benefit. Withdrawal from the treatment leads to reversibility of effect within 12 months.

This is simply due to natural hair replacement cycles, not the fact that finasteride doesn't start exerting it's effect for 3 months. Finasteride will start to inhibit 5-ar conversion from day 1, though the effects of this are not seen for several weeks.

So does this suggest that Finasteride could be used as some form of on-cycle 'hair-loss insurance/prevention' for someone who is not expecting regrowth but who just wants to do all he can to help prevent hair-loss while on cycle? (used in conjunction with Nizoral 2% shampoo)
