Guys I need help and advice, Im entering my first show in May and have started dieting and easing cardio in. Ive got help and advice around me but its starting to conflict........... apparently my carbs are too low, I will post my daily diet, if they are too low, what can or should I do ???? Its a mine field
Age - 35, Height 6ft, Weight 214lbs, apparently Im carrying 37lbs of fat and need to loose 2lbs a week, the diet is below, PLEASE HELP !!!! PROTEIN AVE 300g CARB AVE 200g FAT AVE ???? but quite minimal none added
So my diet is as follows
Cardio 30 mins empty stomach
Meal 1
50g Myofushion and half cup porridge oats, vit c, mutli vit creatine, glutimine BCAA's and codliver oil
Meal 2
Tuna/chicken/steak and sweet potato and green veg
Meal 3
as meal 2
Meal 4
As meal 2 +3
TRAIN
Meal 5
50g Myofushion & uber 35g Uber Oats BCAA and 8pieces of Haribo
Meal 6
Steak and green veg
Bedtime - Myofushion 25g
Middle of night 3am 25g Myofushion
Cardio is currently 4 times a week as is my GYM......

    Welcome to MT mate.
    Who gave you the diet? Your having carbs in 4 of your meals so more than enough carbs imo.
    8 pieces of haribo? WTF???
    Wheres your healthy fats?

      I would remove the middle of the night shake, and just add it to the bed time meal. That way you get long deeper sleep instead of waking up for a shake.
       
      Also, more good fats, especially O3's
      I love the smell of steak in the morning...

          You need to lose 2lbs a week all the way through to May! That's one hell of a task and it's far from ideal, although it's definitely possible.
          The diet above has way way way too many carbs in my view.

            Diet looks pretty good to me, carbs are about right and leaves room for reduction once weight loss stalls!

            I do however think an increase in fats would be good! Maybe something like 15g of nuts with meals 2, 3 and 4 or maybe 10ml of evoo

              Hey guys thanks for the imput, the carb levels for those meals come out at 200grams.... everyone is telling me thats too low, so Ive been adding Uber oats at 25gram intervals with a small protein drink bringing both protein and carbs to 300g.
               
              The haribo are for the insulin spike as already mentioned, however I have some vitargo on order.
               
              More feedback would be appreciated and yeah 2lbs per week weight loss is the plan !!
