But the FIA (Ferrari International Assistance) appears to have been anti McLaren and pro Ferrari for a long time, so it seems to this biased Brit. ETA: Bollux, dazzzzzzzz, you beat me to it and used the same gag!

going to be another close race this weekend i think looking at the practice laptimes. If the weather is good then we could see the ferraris doing well, the kerrs is also supposed to be much more valuable at this track than at australia. if its a bad weather race then i think button will do very well.

McLaren are bound to be disqualified from the championship again after this. You can understand the dilemma Lewis was put in by being told by the boss to do something he knew was wrong. He's an employee in the habit of doing as he's told, and has to trust the team to make the right decisions. The guy that was suspended made a couple terrible decisions and has to take the majority of the flak imo.

i never said ferrari hadnt appeared to get favouratism, or get away with things, i simply said that i dont think mclaren are getting a hard time. look at this season so far. toyota sent to the back of the grid. Braun have been punished for a gearbox infringement. mclaren have been punished for lying to the FIA. hmm hardly a biased season.

I heard about someone from Mclaren being suspended because of the Hamilton incident this morning. Sort of explains why there was no appeal from Mclaren towards the decision... Look at it from the other side of the fence. Mclaren were fined $100m (or $50m??) for stealing technical information from Ferrari. They did not appeal to this..... Now they have been caught providing 'misleading' information about the activities in the Melbourne gp... Again, no appeal. Every other team must now see them as the cheats of the pack. I dont see how they can be seen as hard done by, looking at their track record of what they've actually been caught doing... Hamilton fans will obviously challenge this to the hilt. The grass is always greener on the other side....

No, I don't think Hamilton fans will challenge it, it's a fair cop. However, I do not think it fair to tar him as a cheat per se due to his age and the influence he is under and the grooming of Mclaren. As you say tho, as a team they are not coming off well altho (a bit like athletics) I'm not sure the other teams are whiter than white either so I wouldn't expect too much campaigning against Mclaren

Well didnt they appeal the Ferrari plans stuff and its was in that appeal they lost, then at that they where told to pay the 50mil? Really I dont know how the hell Lewis got played into that, what with everything after a race I can only assume he didnt think thru what he was saying as it happinned straight after the race. What the fcuk after 35 years in the team was the manager thinking?. Be interesting what further action could happin from this, or if the FIA will feel the instant dismissal will be enough. And its alittle interesting that Trulli said nothing after the race, he didnt appeal or make an argument, so its just whats been said, in fact if Hamilton hadnt said on speed Tv that he was told to let him pass none fo this wouldhave happinned lol.

Did they appeal...? everything I read said, quoting Toyota, that they weren't going to appeal and citing the quick dismissal of Mclaren's appeals last year as part of their reasoning (making the FIA decision to dig themselves all the more suspicious regarding their anti-mclaren style, not that it's not proven valid in it's end result)

Why did the FIA ask them about the radio transmissions when they have them anyway? Seems they were trying to catch McLaren out.

toyota filed an appeal, but then withdrew it, citing the reason to be they believed it would be turned down on a rules technicality, where certain rulings cannot be appealed against. i quote- “Having considered recent judgments of the International Court of Appeal and referring to the Sporting Code it is believed that any appeal will be rejected on a procedural point such as that defined under article 152, paragraph 5 of the Sporting Code: ‘Penalties of driving through or stopping in pit lanes together with certain penalties specified in FIA Championship regulations where this is expressly stated, are not susceptible to appeal’.

dazzz hamiltons been fined for speeding in the pit lane during practice for this weekend too. it does seem like they are out to get him and or mclaren. if i were them i'd pull out of f1 Don't quite get what you are saying here mate if he was speeding he desereved to get fined hardly would say the stewards are out to get him in this particular case. There is a speed limit in the pit lane for a reason. Nothing to do with being out to get him you speed in the pit lane you deserve punishment!

Looks very interesting for the race tomorrow. Trulli is well on it! I wonder if he'd stayed on the right hand side of the circuit as he crossed the line (like everyone else) would the pole be any different? Morning in bed for me anyway tomorrow.

Yes, I still think that will be the case, the ongoing season is one big teast track, so McCalren are gonna keep pumping money into research, as will Ferrari, early races never did count for much for Ferrari over the last few seasons as they brought in a new car just before mid-season. Tho im happy Brawn are still able to mix it up, with only one week apart their never was gonna be any real big chnages made to anyones car anywho.
