Race pace is now the issue. What surprised me is how loose the red bull looked sometimes yet it was so fast? Several occasions Vettel had it on the limit and i thought he would lose pace, that car just seems to like getting banged about. Reliability issues...?? lol Yeah, im chuffed for Barichello to outdo Button for once. Should be a good race.

shouldnt be long till the weights are available, then we can see where everyone is at. redbulls have always been the lightest car on the grid, but i have a feeling it might be different this week yeah could see what you mean, from the in car cameras the brawns still look much more stable, the redbulls more 'on edge' but i think maybe its just the different style of the car, and also the drivers

I think Vettels style is very much on the edge where as Button is mr smooth. It shows up more when you are comparing the 2 of them directly as the contenders. The weights should be inetersting to see if Vettel is much lighter than Webber, or indeed how the Brawns weigh in comparison.

I live ten minutes away from Silverstone and am glad to be away from the place for the weekend. Traffic's a bloody nightmare. Did see a Lancaster bomber fly right over my house heading towards the circuit. Very low and slow, amazing sight. Make the most of it guys because tomorrow is the last ever British Grand prix!

Im more happy about the bigger story, that the big teams are telling Mosley to go fcuk himself, again, with some paid help.

Did see a Lancaster bomber fly right over my house heading towards the circuit. Very low and slow, amazing sight. Make the most of it guys because tomorrow is the last ever British Grand prix! Im very interested in that comment as im going to presume your knowledge is far greater than anyone else on here regarding F1... When i first heard about the Donnington thing, my initial thoughts were that it was a ploy to get out of having a British Grand Prix without Ecclestone having to actually ditch it. Ive been Donnington a few times working and i can safely say that it is a million miles behind what is needed for an F1 circuit!!! Yesterdays announcement that there will be a 2010 British GP (unconfirmed venue) has mixed me up. Is this another carrot being dangled out to calm the crowds when in reality we have just seen the last GP here for quite some time? Very good race anyway. Ive said before, i like Vettel, its just a pity that he's German Should now make an excellent second half of the season. I dont think its over anymore... Oh and the Hamilton v Alonso battle was immense! I just wish those 2 had competitive cars now aswell.

Lewis hamilton claims he has the pace to do well today, podium finish a realistic prospect...? Not imo but we'll see.

Ive not followed it myself but Mclaren have set the pace in practice but we know that doesnt mean a lot anymore... Im not a Hamilton fan but more 'competitive' cars makes it a lot better. I didnt even watch the last race so im a little out of touch with things atm. Finishing work in a min and im on the couch all afternoon

He hit a small object that fell of the back of Barrichello's car. It was at very high speed.

A part of Rubens suspension fell of the car, went bouncing down the road and clocked Massa in the face. Looks nasty, lucky to be alive after what happened last weekend. I think Hamilton has a very good chance for a podium tomorrow, 4th on the grid, and I'd say he will be leading after the first corner. All then depends on fuel loads, no one is going to be able to get past him either way, a track that has 1 overtaking spot, at the end of the straight, but then with KERS they are never going to be able to get close enough to him.

Two freak accidents over the space of a week. I read there now that they had Surtees stabilised and that is when he died.
