Frankie Ny or 3 day split for fat loss

Hi Guys Im looking to change my routine from the Mark Ripttoe starting strength to a different routine in order to really target the fat loss, I have seen some gains in strength while on starting strength but I feel it doesn't push me hard enough and I'm not sweating like I was when I first started it. Im not sure about what kind of workout is needed to be effective for fat loss, would a workout designed for gaining mass like the frankie Ny workout be effective as long as your diet is right for cutting?

Diet and cardio are the key...you won't really gain much mass on a cut if you're natural, it's all about maintaining what you built up while bulking, so the routine you use is - simply put - the one that works for you. I've used Frankie's 5 x 5 for both bulking and cutting, as I said, diet and cardio will make the difference.

I have read a lot of conflicting advice on MT, some people say keep reps low like a 5x5 routine as you will gain strength while on a cut as you can't build in a cut so you don't need to lift in the 8-12 rep range. Others say lift in the 8-12 rep range while on a cut because it uses more energy etc so will help to loose fat

As crooks said, diet and cardio will be the key to weight loss. I am currently cutting at the moment after being on a bulk pre Christmas. During the bulk I was using 5x5 but now I'm in a calorie deficit of around 500 cal a day plus doing cardio 5 days a week I was finding it increasingly difficult to continue with the 5x5 and make any gains in strength and eventually came to a standstill. I've now changed to Push/Pull/Legs using less weight (around 75-80% of max lifts as opposed to 85-90%) but more volume. I'm actually enjoying the change and this works for me, just do what works for you.

right, I seem to have gains in strength from using the Rippetoe programme but this may be due to the fact that I have started training again after a long break. I think I will probably move onto a push/pull/legs routine and I will up the reps and work in the 8-12 range just to get that extra calorie burn and to spend the extra time in the gym. The FB workout I could complete in 45mins

What routine you follow will not greatly affect weight loss, you could be doing 5x5/Frankie's/Wendlers or any number of routines. Combining an effective routine with a calorie deficit and cardio will produce the best results.
