Full Body 3 x a Week 16 November 2009 22:31 (permalink)
What do you guys think of the following workout routine?  3 times a week......3 x 6-10 reps for each exercise....One week I'll do ABA and the next week BAB.

I want to build size and strength....What do you guys think?

Workout A

Squat
Calf Raise
Bench Press
Overhead Press
Dips

Workout B

Leg Press
Deadlift
Barbell Rows
Bicep Curls
Pull Ups

Any advice is very much appreciated.

I was on something similar and it worked wonders for me! Seems good though IMO. You considered a push/pull/legs workout too?

      Thanks Adam,

I did consider Push/Pull/Legs and even tried it for a week or two but my problem is sometimes I miss the odd workout and half of the time I might only get to the gym twice a week rather than three.

This meant I might missa legs workout for two weeks.....I figured that if I use the above workout at least if I miss a session I can still work my full body in two sessions.

I guess I'm trying to cover myself for those lazy days lol

Do you think there are enough exercises in my routine?

because in your workout you have all pushh one day all pull the next, and as you said"sometimes I miss the odd workout" that would mean some weeks you back or chest wont get worked, this way they always get hit

As buzzer pointed out, go on what he has posted and will be a solid routine

As above but I would put deadlift before leg press most of the time.
