GSP / Hardy - Prime time on ESPN Sunday @ 12.30am
12 March 2010 21:45
( permalink)
Looks like the UFC have set up another prime time (a'la Penn GSP last year). Its on ESPN for those that subscribe. I think as the build up has brewed on this one Hardy's chances have got better. No doubt he will spend a good part of this fight on his back but if he can touch GSP he has the power to change things for sure.

I think Hardy has an excellent chance. He's got immense willpower and more skill than he's given credit for.

GSP is going to absolutely brutalise him! I will thoroughly enjoy it, as Hardy is a self-regarding, preppy boy who refers to himself in the 3rd person. GSP looked more focused than I've ever seen him.

IMO, GSP has no real challengers right now Hardy has good hands so he'll always have a chance in any fight. I wish him the best but think he'll get soundly beaten

Jango - WTF... lmaooooooo!!! is one of them you? obviously you have covered your face.. haha. I watched that, i think Hardy is good but does not come close to GSP, heck i dont think anyone in that weight division comes close to GSP. It will go pretty similar to the way of the Thiago Silva fight but maybe a bit more entertaining when its on the ground due to Thaigos limited skills, except GSP looks really amped for this one. Im a Brit and i want Hardy to do well but, GSP is pure class i can see him dominating in all areas. Hes soo good i cant even try and guess how he will end the fight, so i wont even bother guessing.. lol

i have to agree it looks like GSP does come across pretty focused for this one, the oly lifting he was doing was pretty impressive as were his verticle jumps. On the flip side Hardy looked pretty sharp on the pads. However as we know oly lifting is not good practice for getting punched in the face and pad work is no good for take down defence..... Whatever happens im really looking forward to it and im hoping Hardy gets a chance or two.

GSP will dominate the fight, hardy has a punchers chance, but GSP's timing and speed will be too good, i think hardy will get taken down at will and ground and pounded or submitted!

GSP will take it to the ground where he has the advantage.

I would love Hardy to win, but honestly, unless he nails GSP perfectly with a great punch GSP will take it to the ground and either submit or TKO through G&P. Still want Hardy to win though !

GSP is better than Hardy standing as well. Hardy isn't the hardest to hit. GSP is quicker and would beat him to the punch (if they were to stand and trade).

As much as I support the British guys, I think GSP will take this one. I hope Hardy does win but I just don't see it. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
