If i get the blood work done by my gp will it go on my record that i have done steroids?? this will effect insurance and stuff later on i guess. Should i ask for a copy of the blood results and then check them against normal levels or just ask the doc if everything is ok?

definately ask for the results, i nearly got lost in the system because i was boderline low (then very very low) and the person looking at it read the wrong results and told me i was fine, a bit of pushing later i was referred to the endo! in the uk i am 99% sure nothing will appear on any records for you. usa or anywhere else i couldnt tell you.
