Glazed turkey burgers 23 December 2011 15:55 (permalink)
Glazed turkey burgers:
Ingredients: (makes 6 burgers)
1 red onion (finely chopped)
1 clove of garlic (finely chopped)
1 tbsp tomato puree
packet of turkey mince (450g)
1 large egg
small handful of breadcrumbs
1 tbsp sulflower oil
salt and pepper
mixed herbs (optional)
FOR THE GLAZE:
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbps honey
juice of 1 lime
Mix all the glaze ingredients in a bowl until well combined.

In a large bowl mix together onion, garlic, tomato puree, mince, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and mixed herbs with clean hands until well combined. Using wet hands shape the mixture into 6 burgers. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add burgers and cook on medium heat for 5 mins on each side or until browned and cooked through. A few mins befpre they are cooked, pour in the glaze mixture and simmer for 2-3mins, turn them occasionally until the burgers are nicely coated in the juice. you could also make these in the george foreman but without the glaze.

    Ooft - sounds tasty!

I like the idea of the glaze, will help keep the burgers moist if they last long enough to go into the fridge.
