Gloves- decent ones and washing them or not?

Hi all I got some gloves in April because my hands were getting a bit rough from the metal handles etc on the weights I was using and I am much happier using gloves. I bought some fairly cheap ones - I was abroad in America. Now they are a bit falling apart and they smell a bit even though i have washed them a few times- they have got suede or leather on the palms so to be homest I wasn't sure if they should go in the wash. My questions are: 1. is there a big difference between quality of gloves out there 2. should they be washed or is it that they just have a life of a certain amount of months then bin them? 3. is it worth investing in better ones? Any recommendations? Or will I still be binning them too lol! Many thanks if you can help me at all! (BTW, I do have very little hands- when I got my wedding ring they had to bring out the children's sized keys to measure it so I think i do need ladies gloves- men's onces are likely to be too big I think.)

I dunno about wahing gloves and stuff...I buy the golds gloves, but the mens ones, small size...I have small hands too so they are a tad too big...but, I don't like the feeling of tightness with gloves cos my hands get hot when I'm training so the small mens just fit well for me.....they last a while, and when they go I just go and buy new ones. The last ones I bought cost £6.99 but when they have a sale in the shop I buy two pairs and just put 'em to one side. I don't buy "womens" gloves cos I have found them to be sh!te... ....

Cheers Northerngal- i might give them a try- for £6.99 that's not bad. I was thinking about looking at Pow fitness ones which are more about the £10- 15 mark- but not sure what to do yet. Might speak to my trainer about it too.

I use Versagripps, gloves just didn't do it for me and I always ended up in pain or with segs on my hands. Aparently the company appear to have folded (or at least last time I looked), but you might get some on ebay. Cost £30 BUT mine have lasted me 12 months now and there is no sign of wear on them. I expect another 12 months from them. By the way if you do get a pair, I have the standard NOT the 'Pink'.
