Goals changed again - now going for a Strongman Comp! 28 November 2011 22:32 (permalink)
Right . on Steven B's orders I' gonna keep logging stuff following on from the SUC

Still got a way to go to get the abs out but hopefully a bit more commitment on the diet front and consistent cardio should sort that out.

Am gonna continue with the Y3T approach as I've really enjoyed this style of training.

Goals - get the waist down to 30"
Build some Lats & Delts!

Numbers wise - Dips for 8 reps with equivalent of bodyweight on the belt
Bent over Rows - at least 100k for reps

Planned routine
Tues = Delts / Tri's / Calves

Thurs = Back thickness / Hams / Abs

Sat = Back width / Chest / Bi's

Sun = Quads / Calves / Abs

Cardio to be done on days off

Will post up full routine + planned diet shortly

Back on it tomorrow!

                OMG - Doms in calves finally subsided only to be replaced by Doms in the hams - walking like John wayne when I get up to go for a pee!!!!
                40 min walk to gym this morning
                Abs - Roman chair situps / low & high pulley wood chops
                45 mins on x trainer
                Was watching Rocky IV last night and one line from the Trainer (can't recall his name ) rang true -
                "You know what you've gotta do! - Do it!"

                Guess it's time to man up and do it!!

                              Can't believe you're carrying on the cut - through Xmas?

                              How about dropping things like leg press for more CV/core based leg movements such as split squats, lunges, overhead squats etc?  Not sure if that conflicts with Y3T?

                                Carrying on up to xmas - with a few cheats thrown in for social ocassions lol - plan to hit the new year without having too much blubber  and see where to go from there.  I'm really fancying the idea of trying a BB comp - prob 2013 but I need to make a fair few physique changes before I'd even attempt it.

                                Y3T isn't rocket science really  (basic gist is 1 week heavy , 1 week medium , 1 week lowish weight high reps - rinse and repeat x 3 for 1 cycle) and you can use just about any exercise - I quite like split squats and lunges and may switch things around a bit on the next round , I don't think I could do an Overhead Squat if my life depended on it
