Green tea on an empty stomach...
07 April 2010 08:05
( permalink)
...Anybody else struggle to keep it down? I've noticed previously I have had a nauseous feeling and the urge to hurl after drinking it before an early morning cardio session, and usually managed to curtail it. This morning though I barely made it to the toilet before hurling my guts out

I have the same problem. Intense nausea on empty. Coffee for me in the morning now!

Its weird, the rest of the day I'm fine drinking it. But I googled it and happy to find that it is a very common complaint. Now I've actually blown chunks, I'll remember better and I dont think I'll be making that mistake again.

I had a cup of normal yorkshire tea with milk & 1 sugar for the first time in ages yesterday... I got 1/4 way through it and chucked it down the sink and made a nice cup of twinings green tea with mango ... yum yum

if you think green tea is bad you should try green tea extract from myprotein really, really, really rough stuff. not sure what to do with the 100g bag i have. would spooning the powder into my mouth and washing it down with water while holding my nose work? :P or does it need to be mixed before consuming?

Just get the capsules, easier. Ive been using zipvits and myproteins versions for months, both very good, well researched and does seem to have a decent effect on energy and my skin overal so recomended

Just seems (along with lots of vegies might add) to give a clearer complexion, like hard to explain..ive had comments on it, and its usually when ive on been on green tea that month lol then again could just be more water consumed also as running creatine again :/ not sure lol Basically... ive tryed various supplements like this before, various vitamins and green tea seems to be benaficiel.Id say it helps more so with the energy then anything else, just seem to have more energy thru the days when running it at just above standard dosage. I only take with food, otherwise can get an upset stomach, and never take after 6 as can interfear with sleep due to the caffeine in the tabs

Another vote for the capsules! I just couldn't take to drinking it. Use capsules instead and feel much better for it.

the twinnings one with cranberry is lovely, though i do like the tetley plain version too. i had a cup just before i did my session tonight and that was on a pretty empty stomach and did feel a bit off but it might just be not eating and not the tea.
