Hi all. Well oh my god what should I say now?? LOL My name is Shelley and I have just joined a gym for the first time...yippee!! I have just got out of a long term relationship where I was treated awfully bad and after getting physical again with me I decided it is the last straw so I kicked him out and am now turning my life around. So I got a new haircut, got some new clothes, and have decided to join a gym to get in shape. I am a bit of a newbie I guess! So I have been googling questions and most of the answers bring me onto these forums LOL! So I have decided to join and see if there are people like me who have started on a long journey and also if there are any nice people who can offer advice. Cos i sure have a lot of quesitons! LOL! Anyway, a bit about me....I am 5'2, and i am not telling you my age or weight LOL! But yeah I wanna get in the gym and start getting into shape ready for single life again! I would LOVE to keep a journal, but I need to read up on diet, and find myself an exercising plan too. I am quite excited now so I had better sign off before I go off on a tangent LOL! Hi Shelley, The gym is a never ending way of life :) once u've determined your goal, everything falls into place. The routines are the fun bit. Always a good idea to get a pro (fitness trainer, sum1 on this board) to do you a plan and take it from there. Once you get more experienced you can write up your own plans. Add exercises, take them away, etc etc. In my experience controlling the food intake or finding the right foods to eat is the difficult bit, but I'm sure there are many people here who know the ins and outs. I'm currently in the process of building muscle and losing fat at the same time, easier said then done! lol. Keep in touch, and please ask away any questions you have.
