HIGH RBC Count and Hematocrit
30 January 2012 11:24
( permalink)
Hello People, I was on testosterone enanthate cycle 500mg a week from August to November and few weeks into it i was feeling very tired. Thought it was because of water / diet. After stopping the cycle as well im still feeling very tired. Went to the doctors for a blood test and told him about my cycle , the tests came out with High RBC and Hematocrit. He has asked me to do a few more tests for B12 and ferritin. Is it normal to have a high RBC and feel tired, i am still not 100% even after stopping the cycle 2 months back.

I'm waking up feeling like sh1t and can't brush my teeth properly due to low energy just general lethargy. Sorry to hijack, but this has shed some light on another possible cause. There is some info you doctor is forgetting to tell you, Ferritin level are used in blood tests for markers, meaning if you have higher levels of ferritin then you have an infection else where. My ferritin levels were at 834 but i got treated for a chest infection all ok now

Did you run a decent PCT? I was on for 10months, stopped in october, ran 6week PCT and taper, and i feel fine already, but will be getting tested soon hopefully. Doctorltd sounds a bit dodgy, i could only contact through email, i never got to talk to anyone, i was asked to go down there, get bloods taken, then leave, set up a paypal account and send money via paypal, then once they recieve it they will just send me my results??? So i found, the medical practise in wales, they sound good and i'll be going there. why did you tell your doctor? is he supportive in helping you with blood tests etc?
New cycle 3rd May 2012 12 weeks 2ml tri-test500 Starting weight 88kg Finish weight ??kg

I ran PCT with Nolvadex and 6 oxo , My doctor is quite supportive with the blood tests but the time taken to get the results and setup an appointment again is very long. Done 2 blood tests so far and RBC count went down by from 5.63 to 5.53 so my GP said that he wont give any medication as the RBC is reducing. BUT man this tiredness is killing me..

CNS should have been recovered in 4 months right? Any possiblities what is causing this fatigue??

Do you sleep well ? do you feel depressed ?? Reason I ask is I have a sleep disorder AND depression ( whoopee for me ) and feel knackered most of the time . I also have a high RBC count ( not gear related, but from sleep disorder ) and take a 75mg asprin tablet every day on my GP's orders , to 'thin' my blood.

I have sleep Apnea and use a CPAP machine for that. My sleep is also crap due to the depression as the 2 influence each other . If I sleep well the depression is more manageable the next day.

MRENIGMA Danny187 has sleep apnea, is it linked at allfrom the use of steroids? Yeah I have it It is not from steroids, Professor thinks I have had this for years and finally I couldnt cope, based on med records for 8 years We discussed training, diet, ped usage, found it strange that I had it at my weight but after examining it is because I have very small airways, a big tongue and a very soft palette in the throat April 26th is next appointment...... As for gear I suppose If I gained 20lbs of water I would have it worse :)

I weigh around 170 . Is Sleep Apnea possible at my weight? I do wake up in the night after 4-5 hours sometimes.. and this started after steroid use. Was reading a bit more and Sleep Apnea is a symptom of secondary polycthemia ( Increase of RBC's). Also i used to Smoke during Cycle.
