HOW DO YOU MEASURE IT ?!?!?!?!?

Well I have been tring to figure this one out for a while and I tought Ill ask you guys on here. Well here is my question. You know how some people will tell you their diet and how many meals they have and what knot. But What I have not figured out was when some one says that they have 100g of rice with umm.. lets say chicken how do they measure that 100g do they meausre the 100g b4 it eatable or do they measure a 100g out of what is already done, and that goes for pasta as well do u measure the 100g while its hard or do u meausre the 100g when its ready to eat. Cuz we all know that the weight of both rice and pasta is totaly diffrent in the dry format than in the eatable format. I hope you guys know what Im tlaking about. Many Thanks

Well I cannot imagine weighing it when it's cooked, then having to throw away some if it's over, or being under and having to cook more. Measure on dry basis.
Hasn't ate breakfast since October...

yes measure it dry as the extra weight only comes from water
