Had my gyno op today-update with pics! 01 April 2011 17:18 (permalink)
alright lads. thought id give an update. had my op this morning for gynocomastia (including liposuction). Had this with a private cosmetic company called 'Transform' under general anaesthetic and so far couldnt speak highly enough of the whole prodedure from first consult to now. Had a assesment with harley medical first who quoted £4700 (reduced to £3900 when i didnt call them back) but my sister had tits done with transform and this surgeon (mr Khan) is known for minimal incisions/scarring. It cost £2470 and the initial consult with the surgeon is free.

Below is a pic of my nipples before the op. as u can see i'm pretty lean and its just behind the nips where my issue was....with this in mind my concern was regarding the lipo. obviously havin min BF i was concerned it would effect my definition but the surgeon explained u need this to prevent inverted nipple and keep contrast after excision of the glandular tissue behind nip and so far (ok its only 8 hours) but it seems awesome. they changed dressings before i left and theres like a match stick size dots for the lipo under arm pit area and minimal quater moon line under each nip (on exact level of areola). TBH i am chuffed atm and so glad ive had it done. If ur missing confidence from gyno, cant go topless and always worrying if ur nipples r showing through tshirts etc. seriously consider this (obviously i will keep updates if u'd like to make sure this is still the case in few weeks) but its a small price for a lifetime of confidence! Any questions feel free to ask!

Sorry for detail...i just know i wouldve liked an in depth post to read before mine!

I think it is a reasonable question to wonder why you had a gyno op / had gyno after (is it just) one cycle? With so much on the boards and www about prevention and dealing with symptoms to hopefully cut it off when first signs appear .....

Is it an inevitable symptom or is it from not knowing enough whilst on cycle?
I look at my man boobs and because of the risk of gyno from meds I take other meds, right now - letro.  I read this article and all of a sudden I think is it working, am I taking enough, is it duff, underdosed, is that fat, is that too puffy, where are those nips pointing, is that a tingle, i'd best up the dose etc etc ... So I guess at some point whilst on cycle 'you' thought nothing wrong here .... and at some other point you thought **** I have gyno .... when and why and did you try meds first?

And do you think that, one cycle(?)  a lean physique at 26(?) is worth £4k - this may of course be disposable income to some but others may not have £4k and would instead be dealing with having pointy boobies.

              Thanks ....

Well starters it was 3k, This is not steroid related gyno but from puberty (read up, 10% population have remaining symptoms. Posted on here as i know for some of the lads this is last option for aas related gyno), and since I was 13 I've been hiding my nipples, pinching them constantly on holidays, folding my arms in the jacuzzi and been paranoid with every women I've been with (all 2 of them! Lol joke) and If it was 4k it would of been worth every penny and more! For the last 9 hours I've never been so confident with my body and in ur words 'a lean physique'. This means more than muscle to me!

To the rest of ur comments, thank u so much! Love u all!

Ps didn't get a chauffer swordfish but heard about it and saw a few girls gettin them! The misses was mine! Haha

it was part of the parcel when i got it done, to the guy above - some times you cant prevent it on cycle even with the anti E's

and if you had it, you would pay the 4grand even if you had to borow and save for years

Out of interest guys if you had the gyno from aas and had this operation... would you then be able to go back on aas cycle and not have the risk of getting gyno again?

                      Always wondered the above

I have always wondered myself if I have gyno (old) from previous cycles from my younger days and am now cutting like hell to see if it is infact just fat... once I have lost enough weight hopefully the area will have reduced if not then operation may prove the best option.

I Believe it is still possible to get gyno after the op as they cannot guarantee all thr gland is removed.....but I imagine it wont be able to become as large as there will only b a small portion, if any left over and with AI's I'm certainly hoping to keep ontop of it now!

Nice one mate, so the actual total cost was £3k then?

If I had to go down this route in the future do you advise I take time of work or is it not necessary? I sit down all day on the phone so I dont engage in anything to exciting lol

Also how long have you been told to stop training for mate?

Well I had my op Monday and things are looking so good I think I'll be hitting the Winny very soon! Just as a stop gap until I can hit the harder stuff!

If they removed all of your glands from that area surely you do not need AI then? or would you use it as a precaution?

Did you pay £3k to mate?

Nah not the case mate as there can still be 'cells' left over, it's impossible to say whether 100% of the gland has been removed due to the nature of the cells intermingling, so to speak!

I was told that if it comes back it might come back as little lumps where the cells were missed!

Nah mate, I went to Poland. The surgeon I had was absolutely fantastic and it only cost me about 1.6/7k all in (Hotel, flights, etc etc.) She's beautiful, too! Wonder if she'll read this... Haha! She's a perfectionist.
