In all honesty mate, shaving it off is the best option ( I know that isn`t what you want to here though !! )...if your going to lose your hair your going to lose your hair... I started receding bad at at 16...after about a year or 2 of getting really depressed about it I just shaved it and to be honest i`ve never looked back. Good luck mate, be interested to see if any of the treatments work for you.

Impressed with delivery ordered sunday evening arrived wed morning. Have used the shampoo today, once applied i felt a burning sensation on my head must of been the caffeine absorbing or something, felt kind of cool. The bottles should last a good 2 months+ ive read so happy enough for £12.

I shave my head and I am happy with it. It does lower your self esteem though, no matter how much you try not to perceive it as a problem. I started shaving my head when I was 25, I am 30 now. I was always worried that I would never be able to find a girlfriend again! Having said that. my missus says she prefers bald blokes. Not that she has a choice :p I assume some women hate baldies and some like them, same as any other feature.

I can give my personal experience here, there DEFO are ways to halt baldness but reversing it is harder. 1. Finasteride aka Propecia or finpecia (generic) : this DOES work ! If you are prone to baldness, you know when you shave your hair, if you stand under a light you can see small thin white hairs. Well those hairs are still yours and have not been lost. What finasteride does is lower the DHT levels in your body and that stops the strangleing that those hairs have suffered. Basically they start getting fed and after some time you will see them get a little colour back. The problem is though you get little black hairs in random spots. This does work and I defo recommend it. Side effects: Loss of labido (not experienced). Weight gain (experienced and losing weight is much .. much harder. also gaining muscle is harder). Watery sperm (experienced not a prob though). 2. Minixidil (spelling) this too does work but creates itchy hair. 3. Priorin vitamins. These can't be found in the UK unfortuneatley. Have a look guys, they are worth it, Best vitamins i've found. I've taken them alone without any other product and seen a difference. I've tried and tested lots of products, these two I can recommened without a doubt. There are major problems though. 1. Money 2. Time and effort 3. You have to have all these products about, bring a date home and she sees all this stuff. Also you have to put it on in the morning etc. A little embarrassing IMO. 4. The big fourth one! Once you stop this you lose what you gained, lose what you saved and! lose what you would have lost in a very short time. Take it from me I stopped cause of money and hassel, the effort and I went from being happy with hair to a bigger hair loss. Now though, I plan to try maintain it for long...that is why i'm skipping the minoxidil this time and just going with finasteride. I hope this helped. If anyone has any questions i'm more than happy to answer.

Fat Pete Going bald is perfectly normal, perceiving it as a problem isn't. I wonder how many times you have posted that line over the years! It's true though, just accept it and shave it. It makes life a lot easier.

Bertstare Now at 28, I couldn't care less, suddenly there are loads of bald blokes around at my age, and its no big deal. It never was, you just perceived it as being. I went bald in my late twenties, but it was obvious from sixteen onwards that I was going to go sooner rather than later. I was horrified, as all bald men looked like twats (this was forty tears ago when the combover was king) then I saw a programme about an American society of bald-headed men. All as mad as fish (they actually took out insurance policies in case their hair ever grew back - so there's sanity for you) Despite all being barking, none of then looked like twats and it took a while for me to realize why not. They all either shaved their heads or clipped what hair they had left very short. None of them tried to hide the fact that they were bald. I had my answer, I was horrified no more. I have never tried to hide it and it has never given me a moments worry. Just buy a hat for the cold weather and you're golden
As far as I know, forgiveness is for the benefit of the person doing the forgiving, not the one being forgiven
