When they first came out years back and only 1 type of card was in print I won £200 and would often win £10 and £20. When lots of differnent cards came out (and since!) I have won bugger all above £2. My Brother in law won £250000 on one of those green £2 cards a few months back which he bought in manchester. I too thought that high wins were not possible and the cards were rigged. TBH I still think they are rigged and the amount of big wins are not along the amount they should be.

You can't rig a scratch card. Well you could, but I'm sure it's quite heavily regulated, it's just that you don't hear of the big wins all that often.

Irish Beast Rosc0PColtrane The lottery is a tax on the stupid and desperate. Or those who have dreams of a better life Everyone dreams of a better life. Some choose to work for it, some cross their fingers, kiss their lucky penny and wait for it to fall out of the sky. In essence, the lottery takes money from the lower middle classes and funds projects of which very few give back to the same demographic that the money came from. Selling unachieveable dreams for a pound a pop.

I have never bought a scratchcard as far as I can remember. In honour of this thread, I'll buy one at the newsagent/post office later on today. Fingers crossed for the jackpot, whatever it may be.

Rosc0PColtrane The lottery is a tax on the stupid and desperate. I don't consider myself either. And you don't usually have a choice on whether you pay a tax or not. p.s. Bodybuilding is for the insecure and people who like to think they're billy bog bollox.

Daughters boyfriend seems to win a lot on these , He has had two lots of £500 , and £50 & £25's all over the place He says he rarely buys them , and is just lucky , but TBH I am not sure if I believe him ! I reckon he is probably one of these guys that spends £20 a day on them or something They also had an incident where they were the subject of "credit card fraud" lots of payments to Camelot's sites and online bookies ...... I must admit I was a little dubious , and the card company obviously agreed as they refused to reimburse them (which is rare in genuine cases I'm led to believe) ....I've got my eye on him !

I've won on every card I've ever bought. I buy about 4 - 5 a year, maybe a shade more. I have 6 on my desk at a cost of £6, and total winnings £19, - the £6 = £13 profit. EDIT: just checked, they're all out of date £6 loss lol

I used to work for Camelot, they are not rigged. the prize funds are heavily regulated by the comission. They only withdraw the scratchcard once all the top prize tiers have been won. Keep your money, it's a waste of time...or go to the bookies for better odds. I actually designed a couple of scratchcards the company used - i called it "pigs might fly"...it was one of their most succesful!!

Rosc0PColtrane The lottery is a tax on the stupid and desperate. Lol!!! To date I've won over £3k and forked out about £50 give or take. I'm certainly not stupid (but I can't argue with the desperate bit!)
