Hello - Female Newbie

Hello all - Another female newbie!! Been looking for an excuse to start proper weight training and drop some extra pounds that have been creeping up on me. Former keen triathlete, runner and general exerciser. Moving house seemed to become a 5 month excuse to not train and get "soft". I have my own weights in the garage, so no excuse really. Looking to run daily and weight train 3 or 4 times a week?? Going to go Paleo/low carb and up my protein intake. Any advice would be most appreciated!
