Hello from windy Lancashire 26 January 2012 15:12 (permalink)
Hi everyone
I have been a regular visitor to muscletalk for a few years but never signed up.
Thought it about time I did.
I have always enjoyed the wealth of info on here whether its about training, strongman, diet, boxing, mma, bodybuilding comps.
I have trained with weights on and off for 20 years and played various sports such as football, rugby, basketball & athletics throughout my life. I am also a qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor (Premier Fitness) but I walked away from the fitness industry after some bad experiences of Gym Owner exploitation and spending most of the 1.5 years broke.
I gave up playing rugby 2 years ago when my second son was born and since then have let myself go a bit. I have still been active walking the dog and running to work 3 days a week but time and money is sparse so not been to he gym  for about a year. Did not help that I started to play bass guitar (hence the username) and found I was a natural. I joined a band after 2 weeks and did 1st gig after 3 months. Love playing in the band but takes up a lot of spare time.
Decided a couple of weeks ago to get myself in shape and loss the many excess pounds I am carrying. Mainly for health reasons have always enjoyed weight training Currently weight 76 kgs at 32% fat (5ft 4inc) so not good.
I have always put on weight easily if I do not eat the correct foods and don't exercise. However I can also put muscle on quickly which is good. Dug the home weight out and got a cheap WII to help. Most of my training is done between 22:00-00:00 hours as this is the only  uninterupted time I get.
Better get some work done but I am looking forward to sharing the knowledge of everyone on here and hopefully I can get myself back in shape.
Thanks Bassman
