LOL ok. How many would say is too many. Usually on a week day I would have about 2 sometimes 3 and sometimes 1. With skimmed milk? Usually none at the weekend!

That's fine - no more than 3-4 per day

Well just over 2 weeks on this plan. I have dropped 11lbs I know a LOT will be water. The first week I dropped 7 and the second 4. The missus has also dropped 7lbs as well. Pretty easy to stick too. However I do find on low carb days that I get pretty tired easily.

Thanks for the feedback. You'll get used to the low carb days though

ORIGINAL: RagingBull How does this diet differ from Dr. Di Pasquale's Anabolic Solution ? Many thanks ! I do not know that regimen. However, I'm guessing that's a bodybuilding related diet with the name. This isn't, it's a weight loss regimen.

Yes you are correct, however he did also write another one which was for the masses who weren't into lifting iron. A quick run down of what his one is: High protein & fat, low carbs (no more than 30g per day) 5-6 days of the week. On the 6th - 7th day (or just one day depending how sensitive to carbs you are), you have a low ammount of protein, reasonable fat and high carbs. The main idea is to be using fat and protein as a source of fuel for the body. I couldn't really see what this (HiPaCC) was doing exactly, and would be interested to know a little more. Many thanks !

Cheers - HiPaCC is a little different to that - have a read of the site www.hipacc.org or this topic and you should get the full picture.

Hi just bought the book and plan to start on Monday having done all of my shopping for the week today. Just a quick question if I may... Can veggies be considered 'free'? I mean, why can't I stuff my face full of broccoli, peas, carrots as I wish? Only there are only a few very specific veggies mentioned with the menus A and B. Also, unlike some, I love green tea, but tend to have about 4-5 cups a day, with 2 tea bags in each cup that are left in until I've finished the drink...I'm going to have to cut down aren't I?

Hi James, Well I finally started it on Monday, I wanted to read the whole book before hand. I think my previous failed attempts of various diets were down to portion sizes, and weekends devouring crud. So I've printed out the diet days, lunch & dinner menus and stuck them to my wall ! :)

Sorry for the late reply - I completely missed this question Yes veggies can be considered 'free' Green tea is lighter in caffeine than black tea but you still need to watch the amount that you have, but 4-5 strong cups per day should be ok

Just thought I'd give a little feedback... 4 weeks down now and have lost exactly 1 stone! I'm overjoyed with the results I've had. I was 'trying' to cut beforehand but had reached a bit of a plateu. I really didn't think I'd drop as much as I have and so am understandably 'well chuffed'! First couple of weeks I really struggled with the weekends and felt tired. Fine now though, so you really do get used to them. I'm about 5lbs from my target weight now and will hopefully manage that in the next 2-4 weeks. What then though? Would it be best to stick with the same plan and up portion sizes, or add another meal somewhere?

Hi boo - thanks for the feedback - and great to hear! Glad you feel ok now too. You have 3 choices: 1) As you say, continue on HiPaCC with higher portions 2) Follow a HiPaCC Monday style day everyday with larger portions 3) Simply follow a normal healthy eating plan (which is a bit like a HiPaCC Monday) with plenty of variety and some portion control

hey james, basically i was thinking of trying the HiPaCC diet as someone on here said it would be good for me to do, im 24 6ft and 16st, how well would it work for someone in my condition also i find it quite boring on exercise bike but if will show good results doing both hipacc diet and cardio, i might just do it, but im waiting to get an actual bike to cycle round park, so would the hipacc diet work without exercise for the time being? thanks alot

Hi Guys. I bought the book this afternoon and have given it a read - really interesting. Just have a few questions about it, but will give some background first. I'm 23. I was an obesce teenager, and when I was 18 thought enough was enough, and decided to get my ass in gear. Anyway, since then I've lost about 14" off my waist. Anyway, though I am really pleased with my progress, I am finding it harder to lose the last bit of fat. I'd say I've got about 3 stone of fat to lose to be ripped. I've spent the last few years putting lean muscle on, but recently it occurred to me that I have never fully achieved what I set out to do, although I am pleased with my overall progress. Anyway, now to the questios: 1) I'd consider myself a level 1 HIPACC consumer. I run in the morning before work three times a week, and go to the gym every night. All in all, a lot of training. Sometimes in the evening it's thai boxing, sometimes weights. Mostly weights really. Anyway, with the breakfast on the plan, would it be ok to have the 20 g protein before the run, then have the rest of teh brekkie after the run? I ask because I don't want to lose any lean tissue by doing an intense run unfuelled. 2) Post workout drink I've got PHd Synergy protein shakes which I currently use as a complete meal after a workout. It's basically a carbs/protein mix. Is this ok as a substitute for the glucose drink after the workout? Cheers
