Hi and welcome to HiPaCC

1) It depends on your priority. There may be a marginal curbing to your fat loss by having the protein.  However, you won't lose any muscle by not having it

2) Yes, but it is more than the glucose drink - bear that in mind.  Use it, but if you're not getting the results you'd like, I'd cut it

Let us know how it goes please!

Well just over 2 weeks on this plan. I have dropped 11lbs I know a LOT will be water. The first week I dropped 7 and the second 4.

The missus has also dropped 7lbs as well.

Pretty easy to stick too. However I do find on low carb days that I get pretty tired easily.

Well unfortunately shortly after this I had to have another operation on my groin to remove some lumps. I lost all motivation and avoided and gym and became quite down and started eaten. Managed to pile a load more weight on.

Just started this up again this weekend gone. Already feeling lots better :) Not weighed in yet will do at the weekend

Will ensure I keep this thread updated.

Well one week in and 5 lbs down. Not done as much cardio as I would have liked on non cardio days, i.e none!

This will change this week though. Not feeling weak like last time on low carb days. However I keep getting cramps in my leg muscles!

        Hi TW

Thanks for the feedback - that's very good weight loss.

Regarding the cramps, make sure you're drinking plenty of fluids.  Let me know if they continue

Cheers James. Cramps have now stopped. Not had for a while now. All still going well.

One question, the boiled eggs. I assume its ok to substitute these for either poached or eggs done on a griddle without any oil?

              Hi James

Another week down and 3lbs lost. I have upped the cardio now. All going really well. On the days where a banana is specified before bed and on one day peanuts. Is this needed or can I drop it? Not a fan of eating before sleep always have to force it down.

The other half has lost 4lbs in 2 weeks as well (She only weighs 8 1/2 stone and is 5')

According to the sacales I am down another 5 lbs. Cloths are all much looser and shape is changin in the mirror.

However I now have a horrible man flu infection :( Aches, runny nose and coughing up phlegm. So not training for a little bit. I am going to cut down the diet slightly as firstly when ill I have NO appetite but will be doing little exercise.

Thanks for the updates - good weight loss.  Even slightly larger portions should be ok.

You can drop the banana at that time, but move it to another time instead

                  Hope you feel better soon

                     Hi James !

Well I started following it very well, and started to see some progress (dropped a few Kg's), then had  my knee op, and Christmas followed so it's all gone out of wack.
But I'm still loosely following even if I had gone off the rails a bit much.

The main thing I found very hard were the protein only during the weekend, I've decided to shift this round to Mon/Tues. It was just causing me grief trying to follow that for weekends but otherwise it's great.
Back on the bike starting tonight, and the following Mon is when I'll start the protein shift.

Diet still stuck up on the wall

Just thoght i'd post results of hipacc so far.

I have used before several times and have lost a stone in 8-10 weeks. I have never done the three lower carb days at the weekend, but rather alternated hi, lo so that higher carb days fitted in with training days. This time I have followed it pretty strictly, including giving up alcohol. So far I'm five weeks in and have went from 178lbs to 166 (at 5' 6). I'm well impressed with results. I weight train 3 nights per week and cardio the other 4. Usually 1 hour walk with the dog or 30 mins treadmill.

My aim is to get to grt to 12% body fat or see some abs.  I'm not sure what weight that will happen at, but I will keep posting with results until I reach my goal.

                      All the best..

For got to add. The diet has been easy to follow. I have not felt as happy, lively or as healthy in years. I think it also has somthing to do with no alcohol :)

Is this book only available as an ebook?  I'm looking for a good nutrition/fat loss book but would prefer a hard copy.  Thanks.

Ps, how much is the book?

Hi Jame - Purchased the book and gonna give it a go. Just a few questions:

                                1) Are weetabix ok for breakfast, instead of muesli?
                                2) I've been taking malto and dextrose PWO, can I continue with this or does it have to be glucose?
                                3) Im currently following a 4 day weights routine and cardio AM, is this ok to continue?

Hi Chamber - hope you enjoy!

                                  1) yes

                                  2) dextrose is glucose, but yes the combo of malto + dextrose would be fine as long as the weights match

                                  3) Yes, keep the cardio high to maximise results

How much dex/malto do you recommend? I'll be doing a level 1 btw.....

20-25g in total for level 1

15-20g in total for level 2

So if you wish to use a 50:50 split malto:dextrose then about 10-12g of each
