High dose test a problem for future cycles ?
08 February 2012 08:34
( permalink)
Hello, Something i have being debating with a friend so just after your guys opinions. I have run test before and a few cycles however this time i am running the following: Test 400 - 1200mg a week (14 week) Deca - 600mg a week (12 week) I am wanting to know if this will make me less sensitive to low dose test on future cycles? or If i should be alright as this is a one off. I am worried that as i am running high dose test that on my next cycle i would have to run an equal amount of test as this cycle.
The last three or four reps is what makes the muscle grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is not a champion.

You are exactly correct, hence why people introduce the use of other compound rather than keep upping the test, yes more test is usually better than a lower amount, but to run at that amount it ain't going to leave you any room in future,up,up and up fella.

Perhaps someone may answer with a more scientific answer to the problem sharpie, but in a nutshell more test is not always better. Obviously if you run a good pct your test levels would return to normal(ish) also running a TRT dose for 5-6 weeks would also get the test levels down to a acceptable level, however a lot of users (myself) included prefer to use test as a base for a cycle and use other compounds that can magnify the amount of test that is being used,or at least get the benefits/gains that the other compound/compounds bring. I think after this cycle at that test dose you are going to need a significant time of,if you wish trick the body into growth using a smaller amount of test. I find swapping esters/compounds by far better than keeping upping the test dose(just my opinion/experience)

I don't think so, if you leave it a while any dose like 500 mg will still have a positive effect. You have to leave your body adapt to first. Say if you stay off for 4 months then you willl be fine with lower doses I think, not exactly scientific reply but that's how the body works with medications and the like. Stay on valium long enough at a high dose you build tolerance, come off it for a year and your tolerance comes down.

Everybody who I know who have ran test at that amount have not really gained more In terms of strength/mass,but they do seem to have more sides and have a harder time with recovery and future test doses. Personally I have been on constant since may 2011 B&Cing and have not had to raise the test above 600mg per week to keep gaining,I have swapped esters/compounds periodically which has worked for me,but have always been advised not to go to heavy with the test. I have 16 weeks left on test e 600mg/boldenone @ 500mg,then will be having 5/6months of the gear to recover. It could all depend on what your aims are sharpie, tolerance to test and the body's ability to get back to normal, after all what works for you may not work for me!!!

In a word no mate, doesn't really matter what dose you run as such, you can always go back to a lower dose and still make progress assuming you have not exceeded the gains possible at that dose. Bigfella.

Bigfella, can you explain I bit more about exceeding the possible gains from that dosage, are you saying that once you've gained the maximum/everything from say 600mg,then you would need to exceed that amount,as it's your not gonna gain any more from that dosage. Is that even after a proper PCT or going down to a TRT amount for a while.

Is that even after a proper PCT or going down to a TRT amount for a while. Hi mate, basically our body's own natural T levels can only support a certain amount of muscle, once that level is exceeded, then we add exogenous hormone (in excess of natural levels) to allow growth beyond that point. Each dose will eventually max out at the most it can support (many other factors need to be considered though). If you have not maxed out your potential at say 750mg/wk of Test and decide to run a cycle at 1500mg/wk, following on from that cycle and after PCT etc assuming you had still not exceeded what 750mg/wk could build in a perfect environment you could still run 750mg/wk and continue to progress. Basically that is it in a nutshell mate, truth is very few people really truly get the maximum out of their current dose before increasing it and adding extra compounds etc. More often than not, the problems lie elsewhere and they are never sorted as people take the easier route of higher dosing. Bigfella.

Thanks for answering,so the lack of growth/gains could be down to diet, training, rest even lifestyle, job etc and not necessarily down to the dosage being to low. I've already said in a earlier post I've not gotten past 600mg test per week but been B&Cing since may,for me I've gained nicely on the amounts and even the addition of a extra meals/proteins and a change in training style to DC have kept the gains coming along. Personally I do feel I've had the best from the amounts I've used but I've no plans to double up the test just to keep the gains coming, but from a one off cycle point of view followed by a good pct a dose of 1400mg per week test would not mean mega doses would be the norm for the user in the future in order to gain.

Yes mate, there are many factors which affect this but basically, if you run 500mg/wk of Test for 8 week cycles and run proper PCT, you may get to the point where you no longer grow off it, at this point many resort to increasing dose and they will continue to grow so assume they had maxed or plateau'd at the previous dose, where in truth they most likely would have had much more gaining potential had they explored dietry changes, training, rest, lifestyle constraints, stress levels etc etc. Truth is most AAS users never explore other avenues in their persuit of growth and many will fall short of their potential because of this, but will still probably reach a reasonable level through increased dosing etc. You can still make good gains with a ****ty diet and sloppy training regimen, but they would be much better if fixed etc, the difference in this game as always is in the details and not the dosing!! Bigfella.

Appreciate the comments BIGFELLA, very knowledgable guy, words of wisdom. Thanks
