Hi I am new to the forum so thought I would say Hi. I have joined this forum to improve my own bodybuilding knowledge and also help people out with any personal training enquiries as I own a personal training forum so am always happy to help people out on here to if I can. From the age of 16 I was hugely passionate about bodybuilding but over the years work got too busy and I lacked going to the gym. I need to build the drive again and get my diet back in order. Thanks Rob

Welcome Rob. Though I think personal training and bodybuilding are worlds apart, IMO opinion most PT's are woefully inadequate when it comes to knowledge relating to building muscle. MT is undoubtedly a great place with a lot of guys with a lot of knowledge to that end.

Personal trainers are on a whole worlds apart from bodybuilding but this certainly doesn't mean all. The likes of Charles Glass, Poliquin and Victor Costa are good examples of exemptions to this. Myself to, if it wasn't for a passion in bodybuilding since 16 reading bodybuilding.com every day back then as my main resource I would have never had the passion to move in to it as a career. I have never been a "swiss ball" and "ab mat" kind of personal trainer and have built my success on encouraging free weights in both men and women to getting results for people when their goal is just weight loss and toning up. When I opened my gyms I ensured that the majority of our equipment was the same equipment I had used myself when training at "genesis" or "muscleworks" although I couldn't put in all the same equipment as them as we still had to cater for some of the swiss ball market we are certainly far from what any other personal training gym have.

Welcome mate Sometimes people just want a pt to help push them so they can be used in bodybuilding.
