How did people train over Christmas, if at all ...

Just a quick one really. I decided that because I would be spending 2 weeks as a human garbage machine - eating and drinking everything within reach, that I'd do morning sessions in the gym, Deads, Squats, BB rows, Benching and Military Pressing - 5-8 sets of 3 reps as heavy as possible, finishing every group witha 1 rep max. I actually managed squat and dead PB's over the 2 weeks and am back on a more balance approach now. It was a bit of fun. What did others do?

I had two weeks completely off training other than Bicep/tricep curling throwing my kids around, xbox kinnect and long walks... Grazing food ALL day long and didn't hit the booze as hard as I usually do... Most of the boozing was done in the lead up to christmas, with work do's, football do's and mates do's LOL!! Started back this week, weighed myself and had put on 3lbs which was a surprise because I thought it would have been slightly more as my belly is bulging from all the chocolates and carb packed treats!! Strength was ok but started my first session with deads which wiped me out.

Love the Lakes Daz. Sounds nice place to spend the festive season. Would love to have xmass there one day. Anyway I trained pretty much as normal. As the norm is only 2 days a week this wasn't hard to fit in. Even though I did niggle 2 old injuries over the hols lol

I kept my training exactly the same, I was only 3 weeks into a new routine so was (still am) super keen and didn't want to miss a session. Ate like a pig and drunk like a fish too, so not all good.

I deloaded and feel very fresh now because of it. Excited about what could be achieved this year.

Took a week off and didn't worry about it. Came back stronger and with a lbm gain.... guess I must have been overtraining!

i had 2 weeks in Goa at the beginning of Dec went back to the gym for 1 week then had xmas week off so all in all 3 weeks off. I suffered on my legs day (well after it anyway) and felt a slight lack of enthusiasm last week - but am back on it with a vengeance now. we're thinking of going for a month next year so will have to find a gym out there!

spent 2 1/2 weeks off the gym, eating anything a wanted and drinking everyday. The only muscles I seen during this time was on Marcus Fenix as I beasted Gears of war 3! then in my first session back I upped my repping weight for deads to a new max and handled it well
