How long to gain 2-3 inches to arms

Firstly I am not a begginer.

I had started very very small. 5'10 115lbs with 10 inch arms.

I am now about 140lbs with 12.5 icnh arms.

I have stalled at this size for a while and am aware its probably due to not eatign more/enough food which is my own fault but I find eating the hardest part of bodybuilding.

I read Bruce Lee had 14 icnh arms and he was only 5'7. His arms look small.  Therefore I am guessing I need at least 15 inch arms to look solid at 5'10. However reaching 14 icnh would also be decent starting from 10 inch.

I guess my newbie gains are over.  Can you estiamte how long I should plan for gaining such size to arms and overall we are taling 20-35lbs total gains needed for this?  Which could be 1-2 years?

This seems very long time to reach what is really such small arms of 14 inches...15 inches still nothing special.

TO get from 10-12 never took that long but newbie results plus probably years off undereating and poor training reveersed led to quick growth I imagine.

Cheers.

The rule of thumb is along the lines of 10-14lbs equals approximately an inch on the arms. Obviously, it depends what that 10-14lbs is made up of. If you've gained a large amount of weight round your mid-section, you'll be proportionally bigger all over so your girth measurements will have increased but you'll have fat arms rather than muscular arms.

Essentially, to get bigger arms you'll need to add on size all over. So bigger back, bigger chest, heck, even bigger legs will go some way to achieving your goal.

Depends mate. Everyone is different but I wouldn't think it would be any less than 18months.

A lot of people seem to think more weight = bigger arms? I'm not disputing this, more so interested in it. I mean I am 5'10 as is my training buddy, he weighs 16 stone with 20" arms (and is in proportion with the rest of his body - although doesnt train legs) whereas I weigh 17.4 with 18.5" arms. He is a leaner than me but not enough to make such a difference. So going from your views I would need to be near on 20 stone to have 20" arms?

How does that work when my body is also in proportion? Just arms are a weak muscle for me and a strong one for him?

Errr, that sounds like your arms are growing faster than your legs from where I'm standing mate?

Eating is the hardest part really, especially if your not very organised with your time (like me).

What does your current workout look like? And how strong is your Bench, Dead, and below parallel squat?

ive never seen anyone with massive arms and tiny body.  sure quite a few people with arms that were overpowering for the body, bun never massive decent arms on a skinny body.

its just not possible to build big arms without growing the rest of the body as well.  no matter how hard you train arms and how much you neglect the rest of the body.  i see people who train arms every session, and not one has biceps you would notice.  i see people who almost never train arms that have very good biceps.
