How many grams of protien??

Hello, Just wanted some advice on how much protien i should take to bulk/gain muscle?? for example if i weigh 13st, approx how many grams of protien should i be taking per day? at the moment im having 3 shakes a day, each containing around 45g of protien im taking one in the morning, one after training and one before bed. Is this too much protien?? Would appricate any help! Thanks

I am 160 pounds and take in around 280-300 grams of protein a day, this comes from food and supplements. When bulking I increase calorie intake to 2500-3000 per day. Hope that helps.

There's no definitive answer to this question; it all comes down to personal preference really. I know there are people here who consume vast quantities of protein & make good progress. However personally I think anything over 2g per kg of bodyweight is excessive for a recreational trainer.

Quite a few people I've met who have bulked have consumed ridiculous amounts of protein - in my opinion pushing too much. However one thing I will say is that, like JimXVX said there is no definate at all. I think many people say that you should consume a gram to a certain amount to your on body weight. Good reccomendations can be found on this board and online (I would advise checking the right forum on here mate - loads of information there).
