ORIGINAL: majesticpower ORIGINAL: MuscleM4n chest 3 times a week legs 3 times a week back 1 or 2 times a week Training a small muscle like your chest 3 times a week is alot by anyones standard. Specially when the back is a far bigger muscle(and would subsequently require much more work for growth) and you only train that 1-2 a week( im assuming by stating '1-2' you mostly train it once a week?). Although you probably train your chest 3 times a week through trial and error, and i gather you are making gains, i ask myself if you would make better gains by giving your back more attention. Your body will produce alto more of those positve hormones we all want through training your back intensively rather then chest. Will be intrested to see your routine in more detail anyhow.. MP. here it is mate.. This routine is rotated with two different workouts every two days. WEEK 1 Monday - Workout 2 Tuesday - off Wednesday - Workout 1 thursday - off Friday - workout 2 weekend - off WEEK 2 monday - workout 1 tuesday - off Wednesday - workout 2 thursday - off Friday - workout 1 weekend off ....and so on. these are the two different workouts: Workout #1 - 1st.Deadlift 2nd.bench press 3rd. front squat and 4th. shrugs. Workout #2 - 1st.Military presses 2nd.Squats 3rd. dips and 4th. wide chin-ups. what you said about giving your back more attention was true for me about half a year ago! i my chest was lagging and i when i started training back for the first time my chest started growing again subsequently. I think your body always trys to stay some sort of proportion.

Don't really train body parts as I train plains of movement.

Directly, once a week, but I structure my workouts to make the most of the indirect hits too.

Only once I guess although my core is being trained all the time with the exercises I select.

Like the Dark Knight I've shrugged off the 7-day week and I hit each bodypart once every 4-5 days. Find what works for you, you'll get loads of different answers to this cos everyones different. It depends on your level of experience and how much time you spend on each bodypart. Its probably a quicker recovery from 6 sets on a bodypart than 20.

I use a 4 day split but train 2 days-on/1 day-off so each bodypart once every 6 days.

ok sorry...i thought it was good The reasoning behind it is that i thought i need more compound heavy movements but obviously i am wrong. can you help me in that case? looking for a new routine, Dark knight suggested i try the DC routine but i hvnt read up on it yet...
