Huge desire still eating me to Boxing Please Read 11 February 2012 14:05 (permalink)
Hi, just looking for honest opinions here, here goes. I use to box as a junior having won all fight's,picking up best school boy & aba champion, im now 35 & still carry a real deep heart burning desire to start fighting again, maybe few ams then turn pro, its really eating me up as just seem to not really be able to focus on much as this desire is very very much getting to me so badly, i feel within my heart i could do extreamely well, im 5.10" around 18st but have cut up to 16.5 @ 6%bodyfat, im very fast lots of power, but obviously i need to be fighting fit, pretty much all my life have struggled with most things, i halso now have children with disability's and this the idea of fighting is pushing my passion even more so, especially with current heavy's in this country at the moment like fury etc, maybe im thinking crazy but i wouldn't fancy his chances if i was under the right trainer someone to guide me, im not cheap talking, & have upmost respect for everyone getting in the ring, its not about that, it's about my coming to terms with going ahead OR simply find another way, in all honesty i realise it would be ultimately my decision but searious people in the fight game, would You recommend i pursue or forget it, bitter pill (for me) to swallow my on REGRET IN LIFE I should have stayed with boxing, Please comment & give Your honest opinions Much apprieciated,.

Im pretty sure the law in England is the same as Scotland, so if your 35 you cant box amateur, Not 100% on this but this is how it used to be??

5'10" 16.5 stone and 6% bf, now thats impressive, id love to get to 6% one day, Do you still do a lot of sparring and boxing training??

Also any pics of your condition?? Personally I have never seen anyone in the ring or cage with 6% bf, not really sure it would be very healthy??

The ABA has a masters category you can compete in from 34-40. If not you could consider some unlicensed bouts.

It think the 35 are for classed bouts as above, is that the same for white collar?

Pretty sure iirc, Ive seen a win/lose (as oppoened to inter-club) bout between lads who are older than 35.

Not sure it's classified as that but I think it's from 18 to 34

There seems to be a lot of cynicism regarding your stats/aims fella, are you not going to respond.
Read about your burning desire to fight however you have gone really quiet on this subject, wouldnt be a very entertaining weigh in/face off/press conference ,if your gonna be quiet, where's your fighting spirit man???how would you whip up publicity at a pro fight with your current attitude.
Just my observation/opinion on what I'm reading!

He doesnt look sub 6% but also he is the size of a small child though at bantam weight easier to be lean at that size than at HW imo.

Speydream nearly 17st at 6% is fooking massive thats 240lbs of lean mass at 5,10 that would rank him as almost IFBB pro standard. IIRC Aaron Hallett was not close to that at his bf when he competed in the UK bb feds and he bloody won so I doubt very much the OP is anywhere near that condition or that size with a modicum of boxing talent. lol

Yeah I agree Rasputin,no disrespect to Carl framton but he's no heavy weight is he,the original poster must be in ****ing good nick to be touting them stats and burning desire to turn pro boxer aswell,he seems to have gone really quiet though which leads me think if he's for real.

I am just stating that it is possible to fight at sub 6% and frampton is indeed sub 6%, I know this for a fact.
