Jesus... where have I been? 1) GOOD F&%KING WORK MATE! 2) Nice pull - in fact you made it all look easy. 3) Dickenson's trousers were OUTLANDISH, do you know where I can get some?

Bruce's trousers were spot on. The same or simlar to the pair he wore for last Rock In Rio. The face mask was cool touch too!

11/7/08 Bench press; 70x5 80x5 90x3 100x3 120x3 (new shirt on; nothing touched from here on, closest 2 board depth) 140x3 160x3 170x3 180x3 Band bench press (doubled mini bands); 70x3 80x3 90x3 100x3 Push press; 50x3 60x3 70x3 80x3 OHP; 50x5 60x5 60x5 Barbell row- 100x5x5 Nice session today. Got my new shirt on properly this time, and felt as if I made a lot of progress in it today. Didn't come close to touching but at least my head and bum stayed on the bench this session, and got some lockout work in. At the moment I don't quite feel I could press up what I need to touch. Lot's of work to do, but this session was going the right way. Band work was good, although it got heavy quick on the 100 and did a couple of TnG's to get the tripple. Rest of the session was solid.

The 180's where about a 2 board away from touching. An expert in the shirts may have got it to touch but that's not me. Yes I think 200 in a shirt is doable for nxt year. For my 1st comp 182.5 would be very nice. As I said a lot of work to turn a ropey tripple that was way of touching and still hard to lockout into a 200 comp standard!

Yes 150. I have a strong lockout so do know that if I get the shirt right I'll get some goo carryover.

You'll probably touch with the 180k soon Iain, won't you? A few more outing and it should be 'broken in' I believe?

Yes Malc, probably. This was only 2nd time in this shirt and it was noticably easier to get the shirt on.

Impressive stuff mate, good luck with it. I'd have got it to touch and done 10 reps, then clean and jerked it and shoulder pressed negative onto my traps for 30 reps squat.

12/7/08 Squat; 60x5 100x5 120x3 140x3 160x2 180x2 200x2 (suit on straps down) 220x1 (wraps on, straps still down) 230x1 240x1 250x2 (didn't hit depth) 250x2 (grrr closer but still no depth ) 170x2 (gear off) 180x2 190x2 200x2 GM's; 140x3 (equipped stance) 140x3 140x3 (raw stance) Mehhh... didn't have the fire in my belly today. Plan was to do 250x1 but was a big pussy and just didn't hit depth on both attempts Even did doubles but to no avail. I was squating better last week. On the plus side getting accustomed to unracking and setting up in the gear and the raw work was good. The biggest problem of the day was my hands loosing strength whilst wrapping! Both arms hurt which didn't help, but come the last heavy double I just could not put the final turn on my right knee. Hence why there a big bit flappin about! I'll post vids when ****in yourtube sorts its ****in self out and stops taking 30 min to load a vid

Yeah, 1st rep on the 2nd set (the one in the vid) was close but no cigar! Was annoying as I had no doubts I'd get it. Just one of those days. Finished this phase with straps down. Straps up nxt week and some tripples.

Where did you see glen mate? He is huge. Always thought he has an advantage on the stones because he could almost rest them on his stomach! Good attempts at the 250s mate i thought that depth on the 1st rep was good. Im clearly not going deep enough when squatting!

15/7/08 Deadlift; 100x5 120x3 140x3 160x2 180x2 200x2 220x2 240x4 (missed 5th) 190x5 190x5 190x5 Pin pull (1st pin, mid shins); 200x1 220x1 240x1 220x3 Solid session today, but not as sharp as last week. Should have just done a tripple at the top weight instead of a 5 attempt, but there you go. Pin pulls were decent. Just worked up to a hard single and nice tripple, and that was that. Nxt week I'll work on some doubles and then I'll have the nxt week off as I'm away in Deven and Cornwall. Although may get a session in on the sunday

Cheers, but it was an average session. I tryed to push for a rep pb when i didn't need to. Should have saved that rep and a half for nxt week when it gets heavier. It's one thing to go for it when you feeling great, but silly when you know your off.

....., 240x0 WTF pass the bottle of asprin Its funny how sessions can feel, good, bad or indiferent. If I had stuck to 240x3 with gas in the tank I probably would have been that bit happier. It's mainly cus I made a mistake going for the 5. This egged the session into average. Funny old thing the mind!!!
