For some reason I get the feeling velcro on knee wraps is illegal in some PL feds.. not sure though

that's just silly, but I can believe it.
with the stiffness of convicts/zulus, it must be quite hard to get an edge up to stick the end under, unless you wrap the last turn looser than is optimal. am I right?

That's how I usually do it.. if you have someone wrapping for you they can do it easily though.

You need a guys to wrap for you to wear em tight enough.

our right velcro fastnings are not allowed on any kit in IPF, and only on some suit straps in some other feds ie WPC.

In fact the zulu wraps are not IPF legal even without the velcro.

But thanks for the suggestion anyway DaK!

even the owner of the biggest bench in Oceania (IPF style) who is the NZ Titan dealer, has dumped the Katana and sticking with the Fury/F6

2 pages late but at least it was tasty

even if you cut 50cm off?

DaK- yes as to be IPF legal the kit needs to be put forward to the IPF to be certed and they need to pay for the pleasure!

Finished session early as right arm was hurting. The work in the katana had started to bring back the pain in this arm, but using the boards had slowed it down. However on tuesday night I changed a tire for an old lady at work and strained it. Had been feeling it last day or two and had fingers crossed today... which didn't work

Should have stopped the session at the warm ups but the lure of breaking in a new shirt was too much! Ice, heat and ibuprofen tonight.

Squats should be fun sat so we'll see!

                  Nice board work iain.

Hope the arm gets better for your squatting. Squatting can tear your arms and shoulders up way worse than benching in my exp.

                    Deadlift;
                    70x3 (dl suit on)
                    120x3
                    160x3
                    180x1 (straps up)
                    200x1
                    220x1
                    240x3

                    Pin pull (uppr shins)
                    200x3
                    220x3
                    240x1

Solid enough session. Squats didn't feel right today. First tripple was rough and nearly missed 3rd rep forward. Took a double for the next set, then got my ass into gear for a much better tripple on the last set. So went from gash to okay.

First time in my new deadlift suit (inzer max). Decided to take my planned top weight as I would have done raw. Def pop of the floor but it's the tightest suit I've deadlifted in so will take some practice. However 240 at the back end of a tough squat/dl session is okay. Gona probably go back to having a deadlift only session starting week after next. It's been good to do some deadlifting fatigued but to pratice in this suit want to be sharper.

So next sat (at Exter Uni) I'll do some raw work after my equipped squating and then monday it'll be deadlifting.

Bit spent after the main work and was out of gas for the pin pulls. 240 didn'f feel heavy but it was very slow. Finished it there!

Good news is I didn't feel the arm much. No doubt helped by the plethora of OTC painkillers and heat rub!

Solid session Iain. Your arm flares up a bit, guessing theres deep scar tissue?

Yes there is. It's heaviest in my left arm. However this injury although possibly linking with scar tissue feels a bit more tenoditis like and stems from using the Titan Katana bench shirt. Plus I hav a supsition it's also linked to my shoulder which is currently a bit sore and stiff too.

Just a bit of lighter deadlifting to get the monday sessions on track. Felt fine all things considered. Just pupmed out the last set for no real reason. Just paused and go, no re-set.

No idea yet. It's not gona be a load. Only second session in it. Can certanly feel the support and the pop of the floor but will take time to turn that into carryover. I'd be very happy with a solid 10kg.

Nice session today. 180 was the best lift of the day. Just short of touching but very tight and flew up. On the 190 I must have jacked the shirt a tad too much as came stopped up about same position as the 180. Only second session in so don't won't to force the touches too much and finished of with a nice tripple of the 3 board. Just managed to lockout the 3rd rep.

Did a little rep work on the raw bench. Lifting raw at my divisonals a couple of weeks after uni. Just want a qualifying total for next years Unequipped Brits. Still aiming for a 600 total.

Very nice session at Exeter Uni with Dave. Set up is very solid for squating. Much better than Area51; in that I didn't have to move the rack to avoid lifting on a hillock, and j-hooks aint the depth of the grand cannion, plus floor was a good surface to squat on. Certably wasn't at 100% but my tech was spot on and felt very smooth, both equipped and raw.

Raw work felt good, not bad at all for having done non in about 6 weeks. Couldn't have done another rep at 185 and I did just cut the last rep but there ya go.

Am gona be deadlifting down there on monday so looking forward to it.
