If my workout program is correct (My very first post) 28 January 2012 10:54 (permalink)
Its been around two years i am going to gym, i don't go regular but at least 3 times a week and perhaps that is the reason why i have not lose much of my abs fat and only biceps are growing besides that there is no change. I always wanted to share my existing workout program and finally i am on the right place. Recently i have changed my gym where i don't have a personal trainer but there is a "coach" who instruct me on "what to do next". So here what i do everyday and i don't know where i am going wrong to not to lose fat.

This is what i usually do as a "cardio"

1. Running on a treadmill with 8km/h till i reach "300" calories on the meter screen (i.e, 30 min running) according to my weight which is 159 pounds.
2. Cycling for like 10 minutes.
3. Using abs cruncher for like 50(times) x 4 reps.
4. Leg Raising (15times x 4reps)

Than i simply follow the routine i.e., CHEST (with biceps), LATS (with triceps) & SHOULDERS (with thighs)

Now there are various machines, dumbbells & barbells where i guess i am sure that i gain muscle but i never lose weight and one more thing, i don't know how to cook and i eat outside food (try my best to ignore junk and eat something healthy). So, the question WHAT I AM MISSING ? In fact, for a time being i started skipping my dinner and used to have apple and milk and only breakfast and lunch as a proper meal but than i realized that i don't have fix time to go to GYM and i should eat my dinner as well to feed my muscles because i usually go to gym in evening.

My current weight in Kilos is 72KG and looking forward to lose till 65KG badly because whenever i look in the mirror, everything seems great  except the ugly belly.

One more thing, i am really not expecting any supplements or capsules to take as i don't want to risk my health as i am not a regular gym goer.

Wow, possibly the worst routine I've ever seen posted here. This 'coach' you speak up should be hung, drawn and quartered. You have a lot of reading to do mate. Start with the articles section above. There are so many misconceptions about training in your post that there is little point in trying to reply, I wouldn't know where to start really. But in essence:

    1. Whether you are trying to gain weight or lose weight, the determinant is diet. Sort this out first and foremost.

    2. Do a proper routine based around the compound movements, and use weights. Not machines. All you really need is a squat rack, a bench, an olympic barbell and lots of plates.

    3. Disregard everything that stupid person who calls himself a coach tells you from now on.

If you don't know how to cook then learn and quickly...you need to get a grasp on diet and nutrition for the goals you are seeking...spend time in the nutrition section and recipe section too...this isn't an easy road, unless you understand food your results will be very slow and you'll be wasting your time.

Indeed. You don't need to be bloody Michel Roux to be able to cook decent food. I would consider myself unable to cook, in the sense that I have a limited grasp of seasoning/spicing and I have limited skills in the kitchen. But anybody can 'cook' insofar as chopping up some meat or chicken and throwing it in a pan, cooking some rice and veg, lashing a bit of seasoning onto it and throwing it onto a plate. It's not exactly difficult.

Are you saying that you eat out for every single meal? Apart from the obvious limitations this will place on your results, surely the cost of that alone would be enough to force you to get your ass in the kitchen?
