In the pursuit of strength and/or power.... 14 January 2012 23:11 (permalink)
...do you discard appearance as a factor when planning and implementing training and nutririon plans/phases?

I am looking to increase my strength and power, hopefully to the aim of competing in powerlifting and possibly strongman. But still wonder/worry about 'looking fat'.  Should I block that out of my mind and let the real goal take care of it? - ie: train for performance and the appearence will follow its own path.

Just wondering really.... :-)

Thanks,

Hugh

Train for the goal, if that was 100% of your focus, anything else wouldn't be an issue.

        As above.

Normally if your goals don't involve the need to aquire large amounts of BW then your gona look decent naked if your powerlifting or as long as your diet is appropriate.
