No mate as yet anti-inflammatories apart I've received no treatment, going to see an orthopedic specialist on Thursday though.

Well I had serious back pain for 17 years, spent a fortune on physio's, Osteopaths, accupunture..you name it, in the end I had to do something, so I went to my doc where he sent me to a spine clinic where I had an X-ray done. The results showed I had DDD in the L4 vertebra. The surgeon suggested two options for me, firstly surgery where he would fuse the spine which would 'take out' of play my worn disc - the success rate would be about 60% - not fantastic! The second option was that over time the spine would fuse itself naturally, but this could be at any time, possibly many years. I went away and thought it over...it was over this period that I read about inversion. There are many articles on the net about this and worth reading, anyway(sorry if I'm boring you lol)I decided to take the plunge and buy a table - what did I have to lose? Surgeon said it was worth a try before surgery....I can tell you mate, I haven't looked back, I couldn't even put my socks on in the morning before, throughout the day I would bend my knees to pick things up...now, 18 months on, I have no back pain at all....nothing! I don't even use the table now, don't need too...thought I'd just share this with you, something just to think about maybe!?

Well if all else fails that's worth taking note of, I have little faith in Physios as it happens.

I'm only 26 but thought I'd give this a look out of interest and gents, you've given me so much to look forward to! I appreciate there's a difference between acute and chronic iunjuries and the ones I've had are acute and you guys sound like you're nursing a lot of chronic injuries built up over time. That said, it sounds like foam rolling, trigger point therapy and general posture and flexibility work might be a big help for some of you guys.

Fractured my spine in December 2005 from a horse riding accident.....Now have osteoarthritus in my Spine, hips and both shoulders plus tennis elbows both elbows and pain on the inside of both arms from the elbows in? I struggle with stairs going up but can run down quite easy. 52 on the 29th Sept 2009......But I try not to let this get me down. Just had a steriod injection in my right shoulder due to the pain. May need an operation to shave the coller bone?I'm a lorry driver of 20years but do unload my Somerfield Stock in roll cages that are over 500kgs each and I have 44 every day sometimes....And I am only 5ft 3ins tall.

I have a dodgy knee thanks to years of road running and a surgeon trying to help make it right. I also do an awful lot of crunching around my shoulders but as I still have full range of movement so that may be just age related.

I have a lower back problem that raises its ugly head every now and again, causing severe pain that I can not stand up straight and have to walk around hunched over like Quazimodo. But this was injury caused by a faulty trailer door at work around 8 years ago.
Getting there slowly............
