Is MuscleTalk your dirty secret?

I was chatting to my bro earlier today on facebook chat. I was meant to send him a link of a website i was viewing but as i also had my MT journal open I sent him the link to that, queue panick!!
There is nothing i write in MT that is bad, but I just dont like the idea of someone knowing me being able to go through and read my journal or previous posts
At least i was not viewing any porn sites at the time. lol

Haha, one or two of my mate's know i'm on it and they've probably seen my posts etc but if I linked it on my fb or my family members saw my journal and topless pics of me (even though my face isn't in them) they'd probably worry although it is in the most non-sexual way possible.... i hope

haha that was it, I had pics of me in my underpants posing. I didnt even realise I sent him the wrong link until he said "you do you have an online diary you geek"

yeah definitely, i make sure its never open when people come in the room and i deleted the link i had to it under my search bar thing for clicking into it quickly

i also try not to give away much personal information on here in case people i know also read it.

its not even a big deal, im interested in weight training and thus like to post on a weight training board. i suppose theres some aspect of stigma about it, i already have people be tw*ts when they see me taking 'steroid shakes', wouldnt need them slagging me off for looking at pics of topless men and spending half my day discussing which is the tastiest protein powder :p

its interesting the two types of people, those of us who hide our identity and are kinda ashamed and then theres plenty of guys like papa, dazc and a few dozen others who dont give a sh*t

i suppose its easier for people to know youre on a bodybuilding forum when youre 17 stone and ripped than it is being a small guy like myself :p

The only person who knews i'm on this is my wife but i blocked access to MT from her laptop so she couldnt view my posts if she tried lol

The "Your gay" or "get a life?" stigma?

At the end of the day, some people are no star trek forum's, other's on online dating forum's, the only diference is that this interest is probably one of the manliest but could be classified as the 'gayest' by watching men on stage in skimpy underwear. Generally those giving it a stigma are usually those who are out of shape and no interest in doing anything about it.

Anyhow, i spend a lot of my day on it (when i can) and if that, or reading about different diets interests me then who care's what people think! It's bloody addictive though lol.

Id treat MT the same way i would with friends, what id say on here, id say to my friends, thats just how i roll.


I know some people use it as a way to express their problems and get things off their chest, others use it for what it is, an information point. Each to their own.

I used to be very careful about anyone knowing about my posting on here but now i dont really care...i post links to MT from time to time, James does the same on my wall

The difference now is i dont post about certain things and havent done for quite some time

I've been a long term member for hours and I often close it first when I'm caught with my pants around my ankles covered in my own filth.

The other site that's usually up is ok to be seen watching because on the right hand side it has 'GET RIPPED IN 4 WEEKS' as one of the adverts, so I just say that it's a training site.

Haha nope I tell a lot of our customers to join for some help!

Id never post anything on here that i wouldn't be prepared
