Kitty - yeah. We're getting there about 10am as Kath said her class is on about 11! Meet you's there? Flick - I don't think under 55kg will be an option unless I chop a leg off hahahahaha. I'm 73kg now ffs. Granted we have a nice fine padding of blubber but I am really hoping it's not 3 stones worth lol. Funnily enough one of the lads that hasnt been in for a while came in today and said' Bloody hell you've put on some weight...erm...and I mean that in a good way not in a fat way'. Bless him!!!!

73 kgs is about 11 and a half stone in old money. Ditch the bodybuilding, powerlifting needs you. Become a Bunter, eat chips, squeeeeeeeze yourself into suits and shirts, you can even lie down for a third of your time on stage. You know you wanna :-)

RC holding up on pressing but incline flies are out still so I finished on cables instead....all good though and moving in the right direction so happy days! Back D Grip Lat PD's 15lb plates 120 x 10 150lb x 8 165lb x 6 180lb x 5 Close Grip T Bar Row 50kg x 10 75kg x 8,7,7 Single Arm DB Row 65lb x 10 75lb x 6,6,5 SALPD's 50lb x 8 x 3 Chest Decline BB Bench Bar x 15 40kg x 10 60kg x 10 70kg x 6 80kg x 4 Incline DB Press 45lb x 8 55lb x 8 65lb x 6,6 Cable Cross Overs 40lb x 8,7,7 All good. Had the local rag in today taking some pics of Amy and Claire to help promote female weight training. They both looked amazing...pics on the gym facebook as soon as I get time to upload them. I'm really looking forward to supporting them on Sunday. Claire is just...well Claire...natural born entertainer who just shines on stage and Amy has made such big changes since her last show in both her physique and her confidence. Her posing has come on leaps and bounds. Really proud to have both of them wearing our Tshirts this weekend!

Paul's not going hahahahaha! I was going to borrow his Extreme 'Only plants grow naturally' tshirt lol Flick - Claire trains here and another gym near work/home when it's more convinient and she has now stated running a physio clinic from the gym. As far as I am aware the lovely Ms Grice does her nutrition and she's sponsored by SK Sports! To be honest I have no idea what Amy weighs as we have not weighed her once since she has been coming to us and she doesn't weigh herself either. We are going to weigh her today to see where we're at and to give us an idea of a)what class she'll be in and b)how she progresses next time she gets on stage which will not be until 2011 so she can have a really productive off season. We know she can get lean but she needs to work on her weak points. I remember about 12 months ago saying to someone that I would never be comfortable going over 70kg as it would do my head in and I couldn't handle being that heavy....oh how things change. I am really starting to view 'weight' in a much different light and can kind of see the bigger picture now. Realistically though I probably still have 2 stone of fat to drop....OUCH lol...but at least no heels hahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Ok weighed Amy and she's 61kg bang on (on our scales) and she said she was 61.2 at her Rugby qualifier which is awesome as she is definitely leaner and much harder so happy days!

NPA Finals on Sunday = LONG LONG LONG DAY!!!!!! Claire came 2nd in her massive trained figure class and I think there must have only been points between the top spots....as always with figure it's a daddy or chips decision. Amy who came to us just before her qualifier in which she placed 2nd turned it around and even though there were only 2 in her class she beat the girl who beat her in the regional. We're been working really hard on her training and especially her posing which was horrendous and yesterday she not only won her class but also the best class presentation AND received numerous compliments from other competitors and judges about how impressed they were with her posing. Not bad for her 1st year competing though! I am now officially Dream Tanned out for 2009!!!!!!!!! .....

... Tuesday is legs day And very happy to say have already reached one of my 'by xmas' goals of working set of deep squats on 100kg which was previously my full 'proper - Fat Pete would be proud' 1RM and that after only 3rd session...or is it 2nd lol Standing Calves Did a warm up set on around 7(15lb) plates and by 2nd set Dan and his incredible calves are on the full stack so we then add the plate arm to the stack so he can add plates. So I have no idea what my weights were as there was a plate on is and we just put the pin in and went for heavy sets 6 x 6-10 reps! Seated Ham Curls (12lb) 7 x 10 11 x 8 13 x 6 x 2 BB Squats Bar x 15 60kg x 10 70kg x 8 80kg x 5 90kg x 5 100kg x 5 60kg x 20 - partials DB SLDL 65lb(each DB) x 10 75lb x 10 80lb x 10 85lb x 8 Lying Ham Curl 30lb x 10 50lb x 6,5 Had another session on my RC/shoulder/trap and glad to report a good improvement. I reckon another 3 weeks active rehab and we should have it cracked!

I thought NPA Finals must have been uber long!!! You poor thing! I'd laugh if another show did crop up in 2009! Are calves a priority or did you work them first as a pre-exhaust? How long do your workouts take? They seem quite high volume

Uber long???? That's an understatement. The winner of the junior class was probably 1st on stage at 11.30 AND then on last in the overall at around 10.30.... Calves are definitely priority but I also find that it is more productive to do them at the beginning of a leg session to get the most out of it otherwise afterwards you are too fcked and just do them half hearted. Sessions at the moment are taking between 60-90 mins but this is intentional. As you can see the rep range is pretty low and the weights heavier so here in lies the sessions intensity. To get suitable rest time between the sets we are using an imaginary '3rd' person rather than just the two of us. Me and Dan can have a habit of going like the clappers and this would burn us out too quick for our current purposes which is hard and heavy. The split we have also optomises recovery time between sessions giving all the major bodyparts a good weeks rest and the smaller ones at least 4 days between primary and secondary workouts. As already mentioned it will all be reviewed around Xmas to see what we need to change and prioritise and make changes accordingly....but also if we get bored lol

Think it was knocking on midnight when we got back to the hotel!! You wouldn't be dream tanned out if you were coming to Washington ......doing lottery this weekend, if I win enough fancy a trip
