Are you paying the price for the classic play in the snow-do my homework dilemma?

The snow playing was carefully scheduled around my study I'll have you know!

It was the classic dilemma of boyfriend gives you gift of holiday to see friends in Glasgow, in a week where you really should have stayed home to study... :-(

Are you not tempted to add in a gazillion eggs a day now that medical science has decided they're not going to kill you after all?

February 13th 2009

To get towards my fitness goals, I am restructuring my workouts with the first Core workout this morning...

Pike jumps to warm up 10 x 2

Hanging leg wipers aka LK 10 x 2 (p.s. it's really hard not to swing on these once momentum starts!)

V-sits (straight legged)
- 10 Straddled
- 10 piked
- 6 alternate leg (failed was meant to get 10!)

Ball pikes 10 reps, 6 reps (failed again to get to 10!)

Roman chair hanging leg raises
- Straight-legged to failure
- Bent legged to failure (2 sets of both)

Stretching and splits practice - am about 2 inches from the floor now!!!! Still got video on phone of Liz doing whizzing splits thingy which I'm awaiting impatiently to try once I get there!

I feel partly responsible for this mini-egg debacle.
When I said;

jedi: Are you not tempted to add in a gazillion eggs...

...I did not qualify the level of permissable chocolate content (zero).

I think maybe the General Medical Council is going to have to qualify its advice about eating as many 'eggs' as you want too. Somebody didn't think that original statement through given that it is the run up to Easter.

Am surprised a canny Cadburys haven't been running an advert featuring '...as per medical advice.'

Am moving out of London at the start of March, to Portsmouth where I'll start PTing straight away whilst getting my qualifications while I work...

Training this week has been fantastic, on course I've managed to fit in 2 flexibililty sessions so far including powerplate and I've trained Shoulders and Biceps on differing days. Not to mention the CV Workouts on Day 3 and today! This afternoon we're working through our resistance programme, should be good.

Hi :-) What like?
I'm struggling for time these days. Just got 50 min to spare before hitting the gym. you who are almost down to a full split.... how much stretching do you do to achieve that? What spec do you do and for how long. I'm noticing my body is suffering due to lack of stretching and little rest...

I don't try and fit in all bodyparts over a week... I'm not getting ready to compete so not desperate to do so... I just go witht the flow and do whatever whenever...

I think it's safe to say I train Shoulders and Biceps the most, then legs, and I rarely train chest or back currently as I don't see them as priority... So missing these sessions means I can fit in stretching but for you, that's not an option. So I don't know what the answer is, maybe only stretch what's specific to the bodypart(s) trained that day?

Eating has been much better this week and am ready it take it up a gear next week...

What's in 18 weeks? You've lost me? I would just like to have a better idea of what I WILL do diet-wise next year so would like to trial a few things over the summer but not as in 'diet diet'. Planning it now whilst I have time in my hands :-) I'd be the first to say if I was going to compete this year so people would be more interested in reading my journal still!

No not passed course, just taken theory paper and do practical in 4 weeks time, just my gym instructor at this stage as I couldn't afford anything else :-/

Sounds like everyone's going hells bells around here! Good for you all!

Tan - how's wedding planning going? Are you getting excited?

Today trained armies and magicked up two new holds for myself as interims for the ones I can't do...

STANDING EZ BAR CURL
Bar 15 reps
2.5kgs each side 15 reps
5kgs each side 12 reps
7.5kgs each side 8 reps

CABLE 21's
3.75kgs
6.75kgs
11.25kgs

PREACHER DB CURLS
8kgs 12 reps, 2 sets
10kgs 10 reps WOOP!

SEATED DB TRICEP EXTENSION
6kgs 20 reps
10kgs 12 reps
12kgs 12 reps

2-POINT PUSH UP'S UNASSISTED
5 reps
4 reps, 2 sets

ROPE PULLDOWN/BAR PULLDOWN SUPERSET
6.75KGS 12 reps on each
9.25KGS 12 reps on each
11.25kgs 8 reps on each

Just been stationary shopping and am prepping for my Herts Uni interview tomorrow (always have a back-up plan ;-))

Am sorry not to be coming to Tan's meet in April, feel a bit out of the loop as I'm not prepping and have no net access and it sucks :-/ Just have to be cash conscious til I start work again but I miss all you guys heaps!!!! That's actually the ONLY reason (other than not wanting to be fat anymore) I'd remotely want to compete this year!!!
