And you do that for every exercise? How many per bodypart? I've been doing so high rep low rest lots of set stuff too ala FST7 and I really like it. I couldn't do it for every exercise though!

Yup, we did Smith machine press, side lat raises, rear delt bent over raises, upright row and shrugs - felt a burn like never before!

Gonna try it tomorrow for back which should be interesting seeing as I don't usually burn for back...

Only doing it for 2 weeks, apparently it's not meant to be done for too long... It's called the Tabata Technique

Flick, Tabata something I've avoided for ages!!!  Looks like the most vomit inducing workot since...since...well, you andCarl put me through my paces at Virgin!!!!

really interested to see how it goes though!

Would probbo post a bit more about stuff in general angel but I'm just finishing the old fasted cardio and am brain dead!

Will pop in later....still unsure about my music......if the fragrant NPS used it lately, I'd be paranoid about clunking my great clumsy self along to it!

How are you finding the reality of working in a gym in the really real world?
Still finding it a source of great joy helping others achieve or has it palled a bit in a woman who works in sweet shop doesn't eat sweets kind of way?

Chrissie - I think you're in luck and she didn't use it after all ;-)

Jedi - I flippin' love it! Except last week when it rained, and I had 9 cancellations in a week, some just no-shows. When I phoned one woman back it was my 3rd no show of the day, I left her a voicemail then said 'Bit**' as I put the phone down, my colleague then informed me I hadn't put the receiver down properly... :-/ OOPS.... I'll let you know if she shows for her re-scheduled appt or not... ;-)

One of my clients has lost 1st in a month, she'll do anything I ask of her and I love that, another I'm trying to increase her strength so she'll pass physical for the police force - it's all pretty rewarding stuff. Unfortunately I'm yet to meet anyone with more money than sense... lol ;-)

It's panned out I'm doing about 40hrs a week atm to build my client base, about 10 of those hours are paid the rest not, but the ratios are evening out slowly... :-) Am finding time every morning to train, which is fantastic.

NOW JUST GOTTA GET MY BLOOMIN' EXAMS OUT THE WAY! 1 WEEK TIL BIOLOGY, 10 DAYS TIL CHEMISTRY, THE LATTER OF WHICH I'VE NOT STARTED REVISING YET!

GRRRrrr, crashed while trying to post.

WoW! A stone in a month! You'll have them queing out the door with results like that!
I'm hoping for similar for the 1st month of my Shape Up, I haven't missed a WO or cheated a meal in just over 2 weeks
Tabata's GREAT! PT David had me doing it on treadmill.

It must be soooooo good seeing all different types of peole to train honey!  I actually like my days when I deal with the unwashed of the west of Scotland!

Well, I've decided on it now (tooon that is!) so I have to do it justice!   Lightbulb pose is good although I'd still appreciate a pic if youve got time to mail it to me!

Gonna check out the other poses on Sunday at Perth.  Want to make sure they're not too 'out there'!!!

Your diet has been a good one angel! So pleased with the results for you!

Re:JOURNEY TO LEGS OF A GODDESS MARCH 2009 GOALS ON P.150 - 20 May 2009 10:30
So, yesterday was Leg day with Tabata and we did the following:
Front Squats, Leg Extensions, Leg Press, Swiss Ball curls and Seated Ham curls.

Out of those, the Leg Extensions, Swiss Ball Curls and Seated Ham curls were agony - the rest I perhaps didn't go high enough with weight to feel the effects...

Then did 20mins fitness practice with music.

Rode my bike 3 times in total yesterday, probably about 20mins in all so I'm not feeling the need to do cardio on top of that.

AND despite my not too good diet, I lost 0.5kilos from 2 weeks ago YAY! Now sitting nicely at 9st 9lb, although funnily enough, when I took pics last weekend, despite being 9lbs lighter than my last set, and having a bit more colour, the lighting was better and thus, I looked MUCH WORSE!!!! Was really disappointed but seems to have spurred me on.... :-)

Trained Shoulders today as I was too short on time for Chest n Tri's.

Did Smith Press, Side Lat Raises (3kg this week), Rear Delt raises, upright rows. Then my client cancelled on me so I did 20mins cardio on the recumbent bike random programme level 8/9.

Back to work this afternoon and thoroughly looking forward to a chilled out weekend:-)

Did Chest n Tri's on Friday - this was my most heinous workout yet on the new programme and my tri's are in agony now...

Also did 20mins Stepper on Level 14 GRRR!!!! Burnt off about 250cals too!

Sat off training and today off too so I'm raring to go tomorrow.

I've decided to do something TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS and have 'sandwiches' next week, instead of Chicken/Tuna n rice. Have had a lush weekend eating pizza, chinese, chocolate, fry ups - you name it I;ve eaten it.

Off to Tenth Hole tomorrow for cakeage - apparently it's the best in Portsmouth! :-D

Biology exam on Thursday EEK!!!!!

Kitty - DO NOT READ ON...

Went to Makro today, bought 3kg of chicken, and 1kg of salmon.

Also bought a rather large white choc fudge brownie cake :-D Half of it's now gone. Also lay on the lawns all afternoon and ate ice cream and lay in the sunshine... :-)

I realised today doing Chem how cr@p I actually was in Bio, Chem wasn;t too bad, I actually think I might've passed today.

After having had a week off training and food, all exams over and PT course over, I'm now ready to get back to the gym tomorrow and start eating boring stuff again... I think :-D

Went to stay with Annie and Will last week, had a lovely catch up

Well done on the exams. Bet it's all nice and relaxing now they're out the way, it's just the waiting for the results...eek!!

Are you not coming up to Glasgow at weekend? Something tells me you're not. Which comps will you be frequenting then? Dave and I have decided not to watch the Southern as it's a little too far. Took us well over 5 hours last year and stuck in lots of traffic...not a pleasant journey. The Central is the week before the Northern so I thought it would be advisable not to go to that one too so it's only Scottish and Welsh for me this year.

Hey Kitster!

I'm not coming to the Scottish no :-( Out of every show I want to go to, the Scottish is the one I REALLY REALLY want to go to to support Chrissie but I couldn't afford it, and didn't want to leave my business for a long weekend...

I'm going to the BNBF Welsh, Southern and Centrals (hopefully), can't do Northern as it's the same weekend as Brighton Pride and I can't do both... :-(

Also going to NPA SouthEast and UKFBB Birmingham show, and maybe finals for some different things to see this year :-)
